OcUK Minecraft Server - Rules & Chat

Hey guys, I just signed up for the linktart site and I think I applied for the whitelist correctly.

Hoping I will be allowed to join in on the fun and learn to build some awesome stuff like I seen on your server vids etc. I been playing minecraft for a few weeks (thanks to ocuk members lol) and loving it!!!
 
I'm missing a sold gold block, (part of my horrendous cactus farm near spawn) /bb here reports 22Alistair22 as modifying the area. A bit childish.

Edit: Sylvet confirms this.

4. If players are found to be griefing (intentionally damaging other players property) then a permanent ban will be handed out, the same applies from stealing from players chests.

I've just signed up and had a little walk around :) I've been playing SP for months but this is my first go on a big server.

I found an island with nobody on as far as I can see and made a temporary hobbit hole style house with a small dirt tower on top, if anyone has a problem with me building there let me know :) (I also put a sign there to the same effect).

I've had a quick walk around but is there any way to find the most impressive buildings without wandering for hours and possibly away from everything?
 
col, if you face the vault while standing on the spawn (with your back to the portal) then go nw direction from there and follow the coast there are some awesome buildings around there..and a massive sheep lol :)
 
Cheers, I must have been up that way because I saw the sheep and something huge over some water in the shape of a cross with some sort of railway stop under it :)

I also wanted to look at a place next to a mountain with a big glass dome in front but there were a creeper or two near/on it, I didn't want to get closer and risk blowing parts up as I don't have anything to repair it with yet.
 
Got my new rig today so for a laugh frapsed minecraft on the lowest settings.

1626 FPS :cool:

Although, it's actually made me realise that what I thought was lag before is just slow turn speed :p

I did this earlier and someone came alone and destroyed my sign :(.

they should have replaced the sign if the plot was an issue
to find out who did it type this in chat

/bb here (yes there is a space in that)
this tell you who made a change in the area.

Some places are not allowed but normaly of that is the case the sign would be edited.

I would suggest looking for a plot in new foundland or in the town off from
there. i have a house in the town close to new foundland to get there quickly
type /hope help this will list the home commands

to get to my house type /home yrthilian (my house is open tot he public and
will let you jump to the town quickly.
 
ah you should have given me a shout i would have come and helped

I have been finding the door open in my house too.
I think there may be a bug or something as the doors reopen even after it was me that closed them. I even stayed around long enough (1 min) to see the door was still closed

but then when i /home and look around the door is open again.
i have evne tested this when i am the only player online.

Are you using wooded doors?
i think i will have to change to iron doors and see if the issue is still there.
