ah didn't know you could auto put a cart onto a track, i thought it just popped it out like a dispenser as an item.

in that case yeah that's easy and can work no problem

I got Ubuntu server installed on that server over the weekend after some amount of arguing with it. but any way i hope to get it up to date to be similar as the Linktart server. So i can really mess around with it

Installing in linux is super-easy

"aptitude install nameofprogram" (or apt-get)

Check out the howtoforge website for some nice setup guides.

LOL yeah i am lazy and decided to install the gui

but yeah i was reading the site and and it helped me figure out how to install the gui

my argument with it was that it kept telling me the files were corrupt. But i remember from the old days
some cd drives cant handle the speed an iso was written at so had to do one at 8x speed then the install went fine.

I'd be lost with a linux gui tbh. Command line is so much nicer for servers.

yeah so they all keep saying. i am coming from windows to linux
so more used to GUI but will learn the commands over time. I do however like the speed of my server now

I'm the same. I've only used Windows before on my desktop. It's worth the hassle of learning your way around a gui-less linux install though.

Your server so your choice anyhow

god i miss sudo apt-get, but linux had to go as i run dedicated servers from the box now that dont have a linux server.

Yeah. I was quite annoyed when Alien Swarm didn't have linux server support. Thankfully that's the only server I've ran into with this issue.

Once you've added yourself there's no need to wait - just jump onto the server.

This will change to require admin approval in the future once Windle is around more and I've had time to work on the code.

A bit OT but that's only with debian based distro's, good luck trying it on anything else

I think I've got it set to do restarts every 12 hours. I may reduce this to daily but I think it does cut down on lag quite a bit.

Do you mean your client is crashing?

if so update java, try the 32 bit or 64 bit version and update drivers.

or do you mean that when MC.net's servers are down like they are often atm you can't log on?

i dunno but i was playing single player for about 4 hours just fine and then i join the server and it crashes a lot!

Also im really sorry but i had to smash 2 bits of glass in some building as i got stuck! i didnt know what to do! im just a noob.

spawn/home/tpc to any player, to get out if you cant find a door, never destroy someone's building/work.
