See post #1382... same error as you reefoid and his solution is a new SD card.

You must be psychic, I was just reading that post:p

Have tried a different unused card, freshly formatted, same issue.

I'm not convinced its an SD only issue. Like I say, my SIM wasn't recognised either.

I did flash the ROM through Clockwork which I haven't done for months, usually do it manually. Wondering if that has caused an issue.

Hmmm people will already know how I feel about Clockwork and it's not unknown for its problems in the past. How old is your recovery version?

Just installed CM7, everything seems ok so far.

Only issue is I don't have Market.. Do I need to install google apps or something?

Yes you need to install the Google Apps HDPI file from recovery, upon first run of the Market CM Market Apps installer will kick in.

I think that's the problem, I'm running AmonRa 2.0.0.

Have tried connecting via adb but saying no devices are plugged in.

At a bit of a loss really.

In CM7 how do you set the ringtone as a song on the phone memory? Its only giving me the stock options and no select file option.

Also why won't some of my apps download? Things like Flash Player and a couple of others start to download then just disappear. Very strange.

Apart from that CM7 is really nice and I prefer ADW to LauncherPro. Love the red rendering for night time.

I had the same problem with google maps, this was after installing g-apps by recovery, and also rinning S2E.
The solution was to clear the cache. Maps installed ok after that.

I'm embarrassed to ask this but how do you remove a widget from the home screen?

Stuck two widget clocks on there I cant find a way to get rid of them. I'm using CM7 if that makes a difference.

Its not like the smaller icons where you can hold it and it vibrates then you can drag to the trash.

There's far too much crap involved with all his s-off, tables etc etc.... I'm so confused, I've been on leedroid 2.3c I think for ages now and I'm getting fed up with the poor battery life. Is there a decent rom etc... that I can install the old fashioned way? I've got AmonRA recovery installed.

Oxygen 2.0.1 for me has been great on battery life. I have a live wallpaper on and an average day sees me going from 100% at 7.30am to 80% at around 5pm when I get home from work. I don't use my phone a great deal in that period but by 10pm it is still >50%. Hope that helps.

Unfortunately once a widget is on it's on for life :(

:p

long press drag to remove.

Very funny.

I still cant get it though? pressing and dragging to the bin is fine for the little widgets like messaging but nothings happening when I click on the big clock face.

EDIT: Got it. I must have tried 20 times with no success but I have managed to clear them now. Thanks

GingerVillain with the latest battery kernal (all updateable through the Villain setup app so no stupid messing around with files from the net) has been better than both Oxygen and CM7 for me. No need for tables/S-OFF etc if you setup an EXT partition (which GV deals with automatically unlike the cumbersome CM7).

It's also got a lot of nice features sorely missing from CM7.

What features? CM has always been the most feature full as it's CM, other ROMs base their features off CM parts - You'll notice this in ROM thread credits giving thanks to CM Team for their feature additions.

I'm aware that a huge number of the features came from CM7, but I donlt care where they came from, I only care about the final ROM feature set. Villian setup is the biggest addition over CM7 that I find very useful.

Villain setup is useful yes, it's been in Richard's ROMs since day 1 though from the DeFrost days and yeah it does make flashing kernels and addons and patches easier but doing those without defrost/villain setup wasn't that much of a task to begin with anyway though :p

I know it's not a new feature.

The chap I was helping wanted something with great battery life, and simple, without the need for trawling websites and doing research. Do you have a better suggestion than GV?
