UEFA Champions League/Europa League 15/16/17 March *** Spoilers ***

Bayern were good going forward... when they did. It's just they lost their nerve the more the half went on, and at 2-2 seemed resigned to the fact they'd have to defend rather than keep on attacking. Cost 'em dear.

That said, Inter's defence isn't a patch on last years, and if they had to play Barca again, there's no way they'd hold them off. In fact nobody is really looking goal-proof at the back this year. Makes you wonder if a team will have to somehow outscore Barca.

I'm confident we can beat anybody, with the exception of Barca and maybe Madrid, but the way we are playing away I'm probably being optimistic

Shaktar's surely got to be the easiest tie of them all. Roma are utter garbage these days - as are most of the Italian sides. But they still do well in Europe.

The whole team did well today - well ok maybe not Brown lol, but otherwise really well played.

Should have been easier than it was, but considering Utd had to replace 2 RB's I think they did very well. Very glad to see Valencia get another 30 mins or so, he will be very important coming to the end of the season

Rooney played very well indeed, ok he was a little shot shy himself but the passes / assists he made makes up for that imo.

I cincerely hope Vidic isnt out for very long, as tonight would have been a convincing win with him starting instead of Brown (and wilth better EPL and CL teams to come, he will be vital)...hmmm Vital Vidic.....VV for short :)

edit - How the **** Bayern lost tonight after being 2-0 up on the night (ht score wasnt it?) I will never know lol, Inter imo are beatable by all British teams still in it (with consideration that Chelsea are probably through given their 2-0 away win last time out)

Inter scored first, in like the 3rd minute, but then Bayern completely dominated them for the whole half (2-1 HT), then after the break Inter came out with a bit more belief, bagged a goal and Bayern basically gave up any aspirations of steaming forward en masse to attack and just ended up defending for most of the rest of the game. If they'd have kept attacking they'd have surely qualified, but instead they invited Inter to beat them... and they did.

Very nervy night, glad that's over!

My predicted draw;

Chelsea v Shakhtar
Spurs v Barcelona
Real Madrid/Lyon v Schalke
Man Utd v Inter

we were ok to be fair, just lacked a killer bite to finish them off early on. The central midfield did pretty well overall but just lacked a little bit supporting in the final 3rd.
