Didn't give us any choice really after a statement like that it was only going to end one way.

It was a worthless statement - Libya relies on wealth from oil so however much he'd love to not sell it to countries which are members of the UN, in reallity he has no choice unless he wishes the country to collapse in poverty.

Colonel Gaddafi has threatened to attack military and civilian targets in the Mediterranean in a phone call to Libyan state television.

They might start the shock and awe campaign now if he's threatening to attack random targets.

He will be proved right, even if he is killed - this military action is about taking Libya's oil. The West may install a puppet government as they did in Iraq and Afghanistan. But it will still be about the oil. The lifeblood of our world.

Does it matter whether it's about oil or people, as either way people will be saved.
