Lallana not good enough for championship!!?!?!? :O

Hes doing great in the premier league for me

No fair you got to keep him! :(

Chairman's at it again. Just sold Smithies to Ipswich for £3m.

Urgh on my Burton game he bailed on the Saints after 5 seasons... But thats terrible! This asking price scam seems to be keeping my players in (only tip if your prepared to go back in time a little and see if you can hang on to them with really long contracts)

Have been to FM base and pointed this out as some sort of flaw as this isnt how he behaves in real life, in real life the chairman is a really nice weird man! (who doesnt sell every player)

Ah Butland is supposed to get good too so I suppose that's not too bad, Kirkland looks all right for backup for me he was too expensive so I went for Basso for now...

Murry have you stayed up?! Runner up in that cup is a pretty cool

Kirkland is rated 3 1/2 stars, so hes my first choice.

My transfer deals:

The money for di Santo/Phillips/Balanta was from last season, so that wasn't this years budget. Decided to sell Jose Fonte (although he was still good) because I signed even better players, and english.

Overall team:

Much more English/Home Grown :p

First 11 is pretty much Kirkland, Mattock, Hutchinson, McKenna, Simpson, Schneiderlin, Gudmonsson, Emmanuel-Thomas, Stevanovic, Phillips and di Santo.

Edit: Just sold Pedersen for £5.5m+20%

I think he got injured once for me but was only out for a few weeks. I really didnt think he would be that good but he just kept scoring, his accuracy in shots is pretty bad but he can run past the defence and keeper like messi.

EDIT: Also does anyone have any good tips for traying to stay in the championship coming up from league 1, is it a case of buying a better defence or is there any tactics i can use that helps. Any tips will be good!! :)

I will also need to know the EDIT bit, as I am looking at a back-to-back promotion, 1st in League 2 with Crewe, now sitting in 2nd in January in League 1, 1 game and 5 points behind Plymouth in 1st. But I am focusing on getting the JPT AGAIN, and getting through to the 5th round of the FA...

My plan is always to score more than the other team when promoted, that's pretty much what I did with Southampton, had numerous 4-3 and 3-2 wins. Make sure you have a capable defence, but I'd spend the majority on your attack, that way if you stay up you can use that money for the defence. Although, loans are also a big thing, can always loan in a few star players for defence, as they seem to be quite expensive.

Raid the free transfers from the league(s) above too, you'll definitely find someone worth having. I normally adjust my budget and add as much wages as I can to try sign the freebies. Another tip from time to time is always search for someone transfer listed for upto £500k (dependant on budget), you might get yourself a bargain.

Completed season 3

:D Very pleased with the season as a whole 2nd is much better than the predicted 9th (and my aim of 6th) but the biggest disappointment has been the number conceded, my cb's just havnt been good enough this season, Steven Caldwell wont be getting a new contract for 6 or 7 high profile mistakes along with another old guy who's just too old, Fonte will be back up and it turns out Steaman is awesome at CB (he's spent the season at RB)

Also didnt get manager of the season as apparently ensuring Fulham to go up was more of an achievement.

Other good news

If it makes you feel better Syke di Santo never gets much better than average prem/top champ so doubling your money isnt too bad..

Murry you need a cookie for doing exactly what was needed of you in the first season :D I hope I can do the same!! Just time to get a decent back line (and Sanogo for 5m as his loan spell was awesome)

I didn't manage to get a replacement for di Santo in the window, problem with him going, he was my top scorer, first choice ST. Looks like i'm getting promotion this season, and if my 'strikers' hold out, I could even finish 1st!

Yay! The loan window is still open so you could hunt for a decent up and coming striker for the season (and maybe set them up with a loan to buy set up), couple of good shouts include: Jessim Mahaya, Terence Makengo, Paco Alcacer, Cedric Bakambu or Yaya Sanogo (last 2 are the 2 iv been holding on too), also add Anthony Derouard to the list
