Do any of you live with symptoms the doctors can't diagnose?

......you must make sure never to take the swine flu vaccine or you will bleed to death.

Thanks for that :D I hadn't come across that particular conflict before. I've read just about everything I can on the subject, and my INR has been stable for over a year now so I'm doing ok. You have to be so careful reading medicine leaflets though.

Just out of interest did you have a diagnosis for what causes your DVT's or are you in the 'unexplained' camp with me?

Horrendously Bad Back (Only 19 :( ) , Doctors can't figure out what's wrong. Tried various exercises/painkillers/gels etc. Both sides of my lower back are always cold, no matter what =|

variety is the spice of life, try seeing a different doctor or changing GP's as each of them will have a different take/different thoughts on your symptoms and what could be causing it, anyone thought about being referred on to a specialist?

I have a gene which makes it 7 times more likely to get a dvt, so I need to stay on Warfarin for life :( . Your doctor should have looked for that, but then again maybe not, so something you should ask about. Since Vitimin K will slow or even stop warfarin from working, you have to watch what you eat/drink as some foods and drinks are full of vitimin k.

You should also make sure to get up and move around every 30 minutes or so when possible and wear those pressure socks while working (again if possible).

I've had all the tests! I looked into the genetic stuff as we had a daughter earlier this year, and i was anxious to know if i'd pass anything on. Apparently 40% of recurrent DVT's are undiagnosable with current tests.

I'm on the stuff for life now too. After my first clot I had six months of Warfarin, but I got another one in the other leg as soon as I came off it.

As far as the other stuff goes, I'm 31 and active. I don't smoke or drink excessively, and have a good diet. The advice I was given by the Warfarin clinic was to not make any big changes to my diet. I have plenty of green vegetables with vitamin K in them, but my dose is high enough to compensate (10mg a day, 11mg on Saturdays and Sundays). I had my INR checked again this morning, and it was in range and has been constantly for over a year now.

My girlfriend has incredibly painful and debilitating stomach/abdominal pain.

They have tested literally everything under the sun, and now they want to refer her to "the pain clinic" which is essentially saying that they have given up and will just continue to feed her painkillers and help her "deal" with the pain.

It's been ongoing for years.

my missus has

a large lump under her armpit poped up in 1 week about a year ago,
stomach pain (since gaul bladder removal 2 years ago),
she is not able to sleep for more than 2 hours and rarely gets more than 4 horus sleep a night (for about 15 years),

and now eye preassure and a pain behind her eye (for about 3 months), i htink this one is bad but ive not told her this (going for scans etc tomorrow) - glaucoma has been ruled out (which though possibly serious is very easily treated)

Why are you still with her? :o

My Fiancee has the same thing. IBS or Chrones disease. Her mum has chrones but thankfully( I think) she was diagnosed with IBS about a year ago. Its horrible to see her in so much pain

Ringing in my ears, seemed to develop about a year ago and my GP is clueless. I know exactly what it is, tinnitus, but apparantly there's no wax buildup so nothing can be done.

Had this all my life and am fortunate to be able to block it out (maybe that's why it's so easy to ignore the missus!) but when you're aware of it (especially at night) it can drive you up the wall!!

Feel sorry for anyone with this as it isn't nice.

Tremor in my right hand, mainly index finger. Had it since I was 14 :)

Barely noticeable though. Only when I hold my hands still.

Essential Tremor, you on beta blockers?

I got all sorts, from neck/lower back pains to debilitating stomach aches that has me in the fetal position to tinnitus, lethargy, depression and cardial pinch like symptoms since I was 12/13(26).
None of which are being medicated or looked at, except that my doc throws me pain medication at me like it's candy.

In short, I can't be ****** any longer trying to get a doctor to look at it and, simply, :dealwithit.gif:

I constantly feel like i'm shaking, however i'm not. Appeared one night out of nowhere and woke me up. I was scared to death.

Had it for almost 3 years now and no test seems to have helped. The sensation yo-yo's throughout the day but never goes away completely.

Happened during a strange period (3 months) of other problems too. Had excrutiating joint pain that spread through my body really slowly. Could barely walk for about 2 months. Random stomach cramps, and a dizzy spell that gave me tinitus.

By 28 years old i felt like a walking wreck. Still do really.

I was after all the scans and tests (6 years ago) but the side effects were worse than the tremor itself so not much use :) (for now anyway)

It's not that bothersome so I haven't been to the doctors in ages about it. It was more the scare that it could be something more serious looming that mattered.

I would ask you to pm me the side effects you had if there was a way, I know it's personal but would you mind saying?
