because china isnt a free country and its in their intrest to make sure its not the only one.

china has a large nuclear arsenal and is economically entwined with the usa and the rest of the west, no one si ever going to *** with them.

They know they're better doing what they do now and just not give a flying **** about civilians being killed as it keeps things sweet with the rest of the region in trade negotiations.

So none of the estimated 200,000 who have fled SINCE the UN action started were civilians? Gaddafi's lot were already in the city, it would have been a bloodbath.

expect another 2million refugees once the militia starts gaining ground and expect a lot more nlood baths on the way to tripoli.

aslong as it keeps the civilians safe  , i'd like to take the nobel peace prize and fire it out of a cannon at obama

so it goes from taking out targets threatening civilians to taking out the whole gaddafi army as the rebels advance and thats from a us admirals mouth...

still hoping china steps up tbh, if i were the ruler of china i would send in ground forces to maintain a ceasefire and keep the peace to protect the civilians.

warn any rebels that attack chinese units they will be anihilated and watch as america is powerless with its allies to do anything.

which would be a real treaty to protect civilians... not this fake crap that encourages a war

I agree it would be good to see, but we won't unfortunately. What we are seeing right now in the world, is what happens when there is one massive superpower and there is no similarly powerful superpower to balance it out. Mighty though China and Russia are in some ways, compared to the US even they are relatively weak. Look how many aircraft carriers they have, compared to America for example. (China and Russia have one apiece, the US has ELEVEN.)

What are you talking about? We are on the internet, we know much better than the people in control.

Or so you'd think.

Because we are not in control does not mean we cannot engage in critical thinking rather than blindly accepting the latest pile of BS our politicians and media feed us.

Sorry you're saying china wading in in support of gadafi in ankors words to stop the country becoming "free" is a good thing?

It would be nice to see someone stand up to the Western bullies. Let them pick on someone their own size for once, rather than small weak countries.

Even though none of us have access to the facts and information they do?

Would you rather everyone just shut up and stopped talking about it then Fox?

Because this is twice now you are coming in from this angle.

Also, define facts. Would these facts be the same as the last 'facts' that turned into a bunch of fabricated lies?

that's not what i mean, I just mean applying the word "illegal" to a war is completely pointless unless you have the military or economic power to make it illegal.

ot to mention international law is so confusing and complicated you could probably sit in a court room from now till the day you die and never get a clear ruling on it.

Eyes to see what the media report, you mean. The same media you've just told us we shouldnt trust.

I didn't say that every single little thing in the media is 100% wrong.

For example, the media has told us that we are engaged in a military intervention in Libya. I have no reason to think that this is a lie, and that the pictures on my television are a clever hoax. And so on. One can take in news and views from multiple sources and use critical thinking, life experience and common sense to form a judgement as to what is going on and to its justification or otherwise.
