Supplements the debate/discussion thread

Dam right Dublin makes my wallet very sad whenever we go over to visit my mates dad

Tell me about it, bought some protein at Discount Supplements a month ago. Cost €60 for 1.8kg for Carnivore Beef Protein. ( all they had in stock cept for mass gainers )

Thank the lord I managed to get my Ccard sorted, so I could order from Myprotein again.

The worrying thing is you probably believe that.

it is if you take modern and decent economies into scale,

ireland has a population of like 7 million, the UK over 10 times that, sure you could pick out some small tiny country with next to no GDP and say they are more expensive, but im talking about modern world leaders here.

UK, USA, Germany, etc.

supply and demand is what dictates the prices in those tiny countries, therefore the prices are heavily skewed.

hell im sure i could sell a tub of protein powder in africa for like £200, because it isnt readily available over there. same goes for india, it is hard to get decent stuff over there, so the people with money are willing to spend big bucks to be sure they are getting a legit product.

im talking about on a similar scale of wealth, UK is probably the most expensive in the world.

Germany if far far cheaper than the UK and Ireland.

I order pc parts from there a lot and Germans in my course are always complaining how expensive things are here and in the UK.

Also Protein and sports supplements are very cheap in South Africa, far cheaper than Ireland sometimes.

yeah thats what im saying, if you compare world leaders.

UK, Germany, USA, and other countries with strong populations and economies, UK will be the most expensive.

Obviously if you are comparing countries with a population of less than 10 million, they will be a lot more expensive. South africa is probably the exception in Africa as a whole, i doubt you could get whey protein for cheap in Senegal, etc.

So what goodies did you bring back for us all to share? :p

none :( I had a choice on Tuesday lunchtime before my flight...get one more session in at my companies on site gym or go and stock up on supps.

so i went and owned them at deadlifts ;p

No wait, you said the world.

I'm the strongest man in the world, if you take world to be my road as all other people in other roads arent included.

How's the dextrose from MP taste guys? Any where else you can get it cheaper from?

Sweet :p Not crazy sweet but you will definitely notice it and try running a few sites through their price matcher and see what it comes up with.
