Currently at university, new bike has been delivered to home address.. heading back home this weekend so pictures of new Cotic Roadrat goodnes will be, can't wait to have a ride on it!

:( not happy today, my '10 Revelations were not holding air in the negative chamber, so ive sent them to Fishers (god help me) hopefully they will do something to them, looks like im out of action for at least a week or 2, as the last time these went to fishers i didnt get them back for almost 2 weeks :( not a happy experience so far with these revelations.

should say its warrenty work, otherwise i would have sent them to TFtuned to get looked at, needless to say when they come back to me, ill be getting them push tuned shortly after.

Personally - a bit unimpressed by lack of communication from on-one so far

Considering i'm spending £1200 on a full build from them - i'm doing all the chasing and lack of responses to emails is getting very annoying!! Ordered on 1st March - awaited a couple of out of stock things but that was all sorted about 10 days ago - supposed to be built yesterday and so far nothing from them in terms of communication etc.

Time to vent the rage on the phone i think!! :p

EDIT - right - they 72 hours behind schedule for builds so not getting dispatched till next monday and I'm away all next week!!!:mad::mad: ARRRGGGHHHH - now need to arrange delivery elsewhere!!

Shush. Iv'e been waiting for a new frame since December. 2 more weeks! :p

Are you sending them back yourself or via a shop?

Generally I speak to tony at sales and he sort things out rather promptly.

Got my LBS to do it, as i had no idea what route to take to arrange it myself, plus i dont have to pay for the postage - i just hope they get these turned around quickly, one thing i might add is that my LBS said that fishers have changed recently, where by any rockshox/sram stuff gets dealt by Sram tech's..not sure how true that is or if its always been like that.

After a bit of advice really. Been looking at a few bikes in the 300-400 price range for my first "proper" bike.

I have been to my local specialist bike shop and they have recommended the Specialized hard rock disc for 380, had a little ride in the car park and it seemed very nice.

On the other hand I have been to halfords and have seen a Carrera Kraken for 380, and the Vengeance for a little more. Now I have looked at the specs, and with my very limited knowledge the both look a better bikes.

I would like to get the bike from my local shop as they have a good reputation with after sales. Whereas with halfords I am not too sure, I was only allowed to sit on the bike for instance. I was going to save a few pounds and get the GT aggressor, but they are out of stock anywhere local.

300-400 price/"proper" bike.

Unfortunately there is no such thing - entry level is what you are looking at.
Not being a bike snob, it's just unfortunately one of those hard facts.

Specialized do a variety of decent entry level bikes at that price range, like the hardrock. I wouldn't look further than the hardrock in that range tbh as it's a quality frame, that's actually worth upgrading in the future - which is more that you can say for the bikes you mentioned.

Indeed, I like the shoes although I wouldn't buy 5.10s again for all mountain use (ALLLLL MOUNTAINNNN!) as they're a bit bulky.

That Tracer 2 looks nice, good photo although they need to lose the big ring :D The stanchions on those Zoccis look tiny too
