Alright, I'm going to go ahead and say it. JMiller had every right to call you out on this. Instead of reacting fairly you act is if you are a gift to our server and we should praise you for all the wonders that you build.

This is not what MC is about. It's also not about building boring, unadventurous buildings like churches and mental hospitals. It's not only about one man projects and receiving praise. It's a community game and you should treat like that.

You were never bullied and to try and play victim like this is just ridiculous.

Being on the OCUK server is a privilege, so many people have built so many excellent things, the teams who built the train systems and mob spawners are simply amazing. Threatening to leave the server as if we should all start grovelling at your feet is an insult to everyone, especially the people who made this server what it really is.

You can either calm down and get on or if you do want to leave - good riddance!

Fletch please don't antagonise matters. The ball is in Emma's court, if she wishes to keep building she can, if she want's to have it rolled back that can be looked into.

I understand everyone will have an opinion on what has happened but as it is near resolution there is no need to provoke matters further. Let's move on, forget about it & dodge those creepers/ghasts like there is no tomorrow :)

Edit: When the server is back up ofc ;)

The server being down for long periods always seems to happen at busy weekend times (probably because FT is out enjoying himself! And rightly so!) Really need additional people to help with restarts imo.

Maybe FT can figure out a way of giving the mods some sort of access to it. Or acces to some .sh script.. No doubt means more work on his part though :(

From how i see the hill was built up on one side but to be fair it did end vertically a (from that carto pic) and the ground behind did seem a bit like waste land so i think it's perfectly understandable Emma though it was just a place holder /a bit of left over land from the landscaping/flattening and was just another town plot.

But equally the town is JM's baby so it's always best to ask before building in/around a big build like that.

either way it's a quick fix we can land scape the hill in no time (me an syl have a fair bit of dirt spare if necessary too).

I have access to a restart function but without mc being up i can't force a save so not sure what would happen (it would only be up till the last auto save but tbh it shouldn't really matter)


I'm willing to try it but i don't want to be blamed if you lose 30 minuets work or something :p

the hills were originally stepped on both sides but we found pretty early on that it made it far too easy for mobs to get in, so i went and changed everything to a vertical drop which seemed to work pretty well. the land on the side of the drop did get chewed up there, yeah. I've not been on all that much and the time i have been on, i've spent working on springfield. Me not being on much is why its progressing so slowly lol.

I really appreciate that you are trying, and have done so from the outset, to create a peaceful resolution. This said, despite JM's offer it seems that Emma has already made her intentions clear.

Tefal - I'm not trolling. I'm sorry to have criticise someone's work but it is at the essence of her threatening to leave the server. Some of the stuff I've made looks terrible so I'm not in any position to judge quality, it's more the concept behind it. I'm arguing that she is belittling all the work everyone else has put in to make the server so great.

toString - Mind my noobiness but how can people help with restarts? What does it entail?
 
Roll it back.

I was never after praise. Since some find my buildings unadventurous anyway I see no point continuing on this server. A hill quickly sculpted to block off an undeveloped area, doesn't signify a claim in my book. I'm also not about to sculpt hills next to the building as that would just block off the view from the windows. Also I never ever, ever, belittled anyone's work.

But I am through arguing about this, and I can see whose side people are on this matter. It is a shame sides were taken at all.

Therefore I take my leave from the server.

Thank you to the nice ppl on the server, you know who you are :)
It is time for me to find fresher, less restricted pastures so to speak.

Goodbye and thanks for all the fish!
