Who's joining the queue for iPad 2 on Friday then?

You've gone out of your way to buy up the supply of an item that is in short supply (and you damn well know so) in order to turn a profit. Many people were looking forward to purchasing an iPad at the intended price, from the trusted resellers. Instead, purely because of your own greed and selfishness, others will be forced to pay over the odds and effectively purchase 2nd hand, simply to fund your shortcomings in character.

Perhaps if you worked harder and didnt just try to exploit others (and attempt to boast about the fact), you wouldn't need to be so *****.

I could understand 1 but 14 is shameful.

I'm not forcing anyone to do anything here. Things are worth what people are willing to pay for them.

All I am doing here is visiting websites and seeing if they have any in stock, a good 10 hours after they were released - it isn't like I have this massive underhanded plan to steal the opportunity from others. I happened upon the Comet one by accident. If people are really wetting themselves over getting an iPad, then they'll have gone to the stores and queued up, and I am sure they did. All I will be doing is, in effect, selling on eBay to the people who were not willing to queue up but are willing to pay a premium to have it in less time than what Apple.com can do.

I work plenty hard enough, I just like little side projects like these to negate my own consumer guilt!

I'll use £650 of the profits to cover the cost of my own iPad, then the rest goes to charity - like always. I try do this as much as possible whenever a new Apple device comes out. In fact, ever since the iPhone 3GS I have always at least covered the cost of my Apple goodies.

People happily plough their cash into Apple's capitalist march - they can put some my way too :D

Trying to negate the lamery by claiming that you'll donate the extra money to charity is kinda beside the point.

Mass buying gadgets that are in short supply for resale isn't big or clever. You're preying on peoples excitement for something, and that's kinda crappy. Coming on here to brag about it afterwards is pretty dumb though.

I actually queued and got the iPad I went out for today, but I had to endure a couple of hours of painful nerdy smalltalk which I was loitering in the store.

PS: Good luck with your sales. The last few auctions I watched on eBay all just went for lower than the Apple RRP, which is a significant loss when you factor in the fees.

It isn't 'negating lamery' - it is just my only aim here is to do a bit of training and earn an iPad for what is essentially free (less some of my time).

I came here to tell people they're still available online at the store. Also I am not depriving anyone of anything. If I was, they'd have been sold out before I got to them. It is, after all, a two week wait from the Apple store.

Thanks. I'm hoping it will pick up in the next few days like it did with the iPhone 4 / iPad 1. Apple can't make them fast enough.

I'd love an iPad but I like others can't drop everything to get several from several stores a mere 10 hours after release.

Email from the purple shirt company says the order is being processed and to expect delivery within 3 working days. Is this just a standard thing or do they actually have stock in that they will deliver? And do they send of packages on Saturday? :D

Just ordered from there too. 32Gb white wifi with blue smart cover. :D

3-5 working days they say so fingers crossed it arrives before Friday as I'm off to Oz. Otherwise it's getting cancelled. Will be my first iPad. Business only of course, no VAT. ;)

Critical Mass cycled past the Regent Street store last night after 10pm and iPad buyers were still being cheered out of the store. Guess they have a load in stock there!

Same time... 4:45pm and got inside at 7:10pm at Bluewater. Were you in front of me? Cos there was a guy who was infront of me who got 64gb WIFI.... ;)

I had mum and daughter behind me with 2 chaps behind them, one had shorts and t shirt on ( probably does not narrow it down a lot) in front of me I had a dark chap with glasses and he had some youths in front of him.

I have not looked did you go with a 3G model.

I just went for the 16gb WIFI model (white) as I have an iphone 3gs and I'll use the Ipad in areas which have WIFI. :) Then I can use the "spare" money for accessories and the Apple Care for 2 years.

I managed to order one from the flying space rock place for Monday delivery so I've cancelled my Apple order. I'm happy I managed to track down one for next week without leaving the house. :D
