You click on these peoples usernames, and low and behold, half of them have also rated DAII a 0 with that and crysis being the only two games they've rated, or having not rated any other games at all.

Idiots on both sides can't see they're ruining what has previously been a reliable resource for user reviews, and so for other people trying to determine if a game really is worth it, is becoming an impossible task.

i agree with everything there.
The people moaning about this game already made up there minds months ago, before playing it.
When they heard that it was coming out on consoles as well, they started moaning, and got into a frame of mind which meant that it was literally impossible for them to enjoy the game. It's nothing new, happened with DA2, as you say, (though, as someone who looked forward to that game, i was very dissapointed)

I saw someone moaning on here about Skyrim the other day, because they took out birth signs. They immediately jumped on this, and it apparantly means that they have 'dumbed it down'. And it is a 'console port' (whatever that is suppoed to even mean now!!!) Even if Bethesda announced that they weren't taking out birthsigns, they would just ignore them and keep complaining about it!!!!!

I don't mean to rant, but some people just will not give games a chance.:)

try playing it first.

PS, it might not look as good as Crysis with graphics mods on, which were released after the game, not at release. But soon we will have mods for Crysis 2, and i'm sure it will greatly improve.

Well I have just been playing for about an hour and the graphics are ok, but I wouldn't say they our stunning. Have it set to extreme.

Enjoying the single player so far (opening sequence reminded me of COD 4's opening sequence) but as already mentioned numerous times they need to sort out the AI.

well no, these could all be legitimate criticisms of the game, because i've noticed this too; without even needing to buy it.......... i.e the demo i saw ( on this thread) looked boring, a street shooter only.

and this also shows in all the similar photos/online gameplay etc, the game looks repatitive and nothing like as exciting as Warhead, or the new FEAR 3, all i see is shooting guns in the streets.

i notice this same boredom/ repetativeness in the new Rage game too, it's way too similar to Borderands/F3.
 
It is a port yes and a few things annooy me but nit enough tonruin my enjoyment. I think it looks ok hopefully they will do a high resolution patch for the pc.

The ai is annoying for example on missions were there are multiple entrances to an area if you clear it then investigate another route, when yo return all the mobs have respawned.
 
Just completed the game a little bit disappointed, not as good as the original crysis or warhead, still a fun game but its got its problems.

Unlike the 1st game crysis 2 seems to take a while to get going :(

I don’t like the silent protagonist either, because of this you just get point where people are throwing info at you.
 
anybody e;se been playing multiplayer?

its great fun if you are wanting to play a COD style FPS shooter but dont want to give activison money :D

I tried it earlier in deathmatch & team dm.

Some maps are far too small for deathmatch & my reactions couldn't keep up with some of the sugar fuelled teens on there, so I got well & truly pasted :p

Team dm & crashsite seemed a bit more sedate & enjoyable though.

They fixed that in the day 0 patch :o but still it is pretty disgusting for them to release it without the patch...

I've been playing it for about 2 or 3 hours, and all I can say is, as a PC game it is pretty awful, I was open minded as to what to expect when i bought it, but I definately would not call it the sequal to crysis. They are just different games
 
If I could buy it and resell it id give it a go now but as that doesn't seem to happen anymore I will wait till it comes down like metro and half life 2 etc

Only game I've bought in years at launch is sc2.. brilliant

Resell now stops people 'just giving it a go' can drop £25 down the loo

I'm really reluctant to buy this not from the graphics side but the linear side.. also still don't really know how long the single player is

Yeah, works perfectly for me, 100+ fps, no graphics issues. I'm using the latest non beta drivers with the official nvidia Crysis 2 SLI patch.
