So what foods do you go out of your way to deliberately avoid?

I do an hour of exercise 6 days a week so the muscles/liver is constantly being depleted. I think the fructose problem is from people sitting around doing nothing and eating refined fructose like HFCS and fruit juice and turning themselves in to foie gras.
Fair enough, it's not so bad if your not trying to low your bodyfat as I said. But would you not rather have *some* carbs that can be used by your muscles?

I'd rather die!
You might anyway :p

I know we all love certain foods but what things do you deliberately steer away from? Not because you don't like them but because they are bad for you!

Me?

Fizzy drinks
Crisps
White bread
White rice
Potatoes (most of you are probably wondering why I've listed this, it's because it's very high on the glycemic index and drives your sugar levels to 1337 levels)

You?

When was the last time you had a Mcdonalds/KFC truthfully?

Nothing really, I just exercise a lot.

Although I do tend to avoid meat every so often, simply because I think humanity consumes too much of it.

Don't mind too much when it comes to carbs like white bread and rice as I'm quite active and I'm sure as long as you don't sit on your *** all day the difference between white and brown bread, rice pasta etc is negligible.

Things I do avoid include cheese, cream, anything deep fried (apart from occasional fish and chips) and ready meals

This thread is insanity.
White bread is not a health risk.
Neither are potatoes.

Where's my tub of lard gone?!
I don't think anyone said those things are a health risk, but if you want the best from your body you should treat it properly. Simple carbs aren't good.

The irony in your post is that fat isn't going to kill you, unless you drown in it.

In what way are potatoes not good for you?

I disagree.
Put a peanut on my nephews tongue and he would have a good chance of dying.
Put a peanut on my eldest daughters tongue and she would be very ill.

Well obviously allergies are quite different. But for a healthy person, my point still stands.

Fish, mushroom, liver/kidney/brain/that type of stuff.

Oxygen kills you, better stop breathing! ;) :)
