Crysis 2... Awsome!

Which nanosuit upgrades are people liking the most on the game ? i like the one which increases the amount of time you can say cloaked and doesnt drain the energy down nowhere near as fast when sprinting :)

I haven't got that far but that only adds to my gripe of the over reliance of it, using it makes the game easy not using it just results in death and being spotted regardless of the distance to the enemy's

Just noticed this trophy

:rolleyes::mad::rolleyes::mad:

 Haven't spotted that one myself when I took a look at the achievements. Definitely prefer trophies just not as much satisfaction to be had seeing an achievement pop up as there is seeing a nice silver trophy :(

Well playing this game on vet or supersolider as i am trying now really needs a more stealthy (cloaked) approach but thats not to say that armor doesnt play its part also .

I've just started this game on the hardest setting, I wonder if it will be as annoying/tedious as CoD on Veteran. :p

I started it last night on Supersoldier too. So far i've died a fair few times (much to my mate and brothers amusement) but I wouldn't say it's annoying in the same way CoD is. It's more spending ages planning something to get foiled by some bloke tucked away in the corner you didn't spot.

I'm really enjoying that in a way though as despite how slightly linear the maps are I feel like I'm in control. Really enjoying it thus far. :)

I'm just at the bit where the alien ship crashes into the skyscraper. Died twice so far, the first time was when you have to turn on the strength mode to survive the explosion, and the second time was when I was running down some stairs and a guy shot me in the face. :(

Finshed the game in 10hours, I'm going to replay it now with my acquired nano-suit abilities on supersoldier mode.

Also don't forget that while using the silencer on most weapons you won't lose your cloak while shooting but you will take an energy hit, but then you can compensate that with your nano-suit abilities, so stealth head-shots are the order of the day.

On Supersoldier mode do you have to constantly walk around cloaked? That's what I hated about the first game, having to sit in a bush and wait for my suit energy to recharge. :(

Actually I love that style of play :o, you definitely can't 'doom it' on Supersoldier mode, a lot of areas require planning unless you want to die a millions times, I'd say it would be better to complete the game on normal first then reply with your new abilities as they stay with you.

I'm just a bit further beyond that. Think only died twice up to that point too, one was a bloke in a guard tower I didn't see and the other being cloak running out at the wrong time. I've died a fair few times since but that's because I was losing patience after getting X distance to die and have to do it all again so was running forward to quick.

I know what you mean about constantly being cloaked too. I never played the first but it feels like i'm just moving from point to point and waiting for it to recharge before going to the next point!

It bores me. :p

Though I bought it for the multiplayer, the singleplayer will just be something for me to play through to get some achievements which is why I'm doing it on the hardest setting on my first playthrough, as the chances are I won't have the motivation to go back and do it again another time.

god no, Black Ops is the single most annoying game ever on Veteran, you can't so much as take a leak without getting shot from seven different angles, by enemies are can somehow see you through everything with guns that insta-kill you, god that game drives me insane! Modern Warfare II wasn't so bad on Veteran, neither was the first until that needless 'Mile High Club' level, how the hell are you meant to do that in the allotted time?! but Black Ops, the part where you have to 'run' down the hill face to get to the airfield after killing 'Castro' drove me round the bend, as soon as I hooked up, instantly killed by an enemy so far away he was probably in another time zone!? took a few attempts to do that, and a lot of stress!

Lol i know how you feel. I've just started another playthrough on the first Modern Warfare on Veteran. Some of the parts are insane, any part that involves you going across open ground with no cover. I've died so many times i could probably quote some famous general, or tell you the cost of a jet/missile by heart :p.

Is the multiplayer any good on this? GAME are offering a deal at the min where if you trade in Homefront you get Crysis 2 for £5. Pretty sweet deal I think considering Homefront is completely broken and the chances of it ever working correctly is slipping further away, I know the single player for this will probably be good but if the multiplayer is also good/balanced I'll probably get it today.

ever completed 'Mile High Club' on Veteran, how the hell are you meant to do it? you get like 30 seconds to run through an enemy infested aircraft with paper armour and a gun that is a pea-shooter...?! :(

LOL so true, that was one of my biggest problems with MW2 I beat it on Veteran within 2 weeks of owning it. Black Ops though caused me so much stress I gave up trying to beat that on the hardest difficulty.

Haven't completed Crysis yet but I doubt I'll go back through this again (other than to pick up missed achievements)

Another gripe I have with Crysis is the amount of screen some weapons take up, I have to switch to my sidearm when traveling distances just so I can see everything (never had that problem with any other FPS)

The levels from semper fi onwards have been much better than the ones previous. The lack of variety in the enemy is very poor but I still prefer the later levels with the alien than the ones against the soldiers.

completed it and really enjoyed it. bit easy though especially with the advanced stealth. gone on to the harder setting for a second play through, notice you get to keep your suit upgrade so its easier again though the harder setting isnt very forgiving if you get caught in the open.

Definitely agree, starting to get into this a lot more now. I think my main problem with the early levels was I wasn't sure how I was meant to be playing it as my method has been go into cloak mode, move a short distance, crouch behind something while my suit recharges, go back into cloak mode, move another short distance and so on and I just wasn't sure I was playing the game as it was meant to be played. Now I've got my marine buddy's with me feels a lot more like a conventional FPS now
