Am i a grumpy whinger because...

My gf is well trained :D She knows how to get in/out so as not to hit/scrape anything. Keeps her feet on the mats and doesn't bring anyfood into the car. She isn't even allowed to wear new jeans until they have been washed a couple of times.

I'm anal and she knows it ;)

Wait till you have kids
Muddy feet marks on the back of the front seats, melted chocolate etc etc.
Makes no odds on how much you moan at them, they still end up doing it
Thats why we were never allowed to eat in dads car. The only exception to this was when we went on holiday in which case dad would fit covers to all the rear seats for the duration.

My brother would also have to take his shoes off to stop him marking the back of the seats!

An ex did that once (but didn't have shoes on), i told her to take her feet off my dash, she didn't see the problem so i gave her a lecture about respecting peoples property. She never did it again but it made me angry that some people have so little respect for other peoples things.

Neither do I unless her socks/tights were somehow scratching the dash?

Sounds like you were harsh imo.

Dunno, just reminds of being told off by your parents when you were younger for resting your feet on the coffee table or something:p

Is it rude? yes. Will it harm the coffee table? no.

My only real annoyance is when people slam doors/boot, I'm very concious about doing it to other peoples cars, if I think I've slammed it at all I'll apologise. That's the only thing I'll mention, eating in the car doesn't bother me so much, feet on the dash providing their shoes are off is fin (this has been the case in any car I've owned).

Well i wouldn't come into your home and stick my feet on your coffee table regardless of what i had on them.

The dash isn't really designed for feet, if it was they would have mounted it closer to the floor, then we have the issue of having a crash and the airbag going off.

It's not so much the damage or potential damage which is could cause, it's the principle behind the matter and to me it smacks at the other person not giving two rats about other peoples things.

What really annoys me is when I'm coming up to a give way, she always feels the need to put her head down and rummage around in the handbag for something while at the same time blocking the window and my view with her big fat stupid head. The first 5 times I politely said to her, "mind your head." She couldn't grasp the concept of why I needed to see out the window for oncoming traffic... clearly that was beyond her.

One night we were going for a chinese, and came up to yet another give way... what does IT do, sticks it's fat head right infront of the window blocking my view completely. I blew up and started to shout and rant, she responded with... "no one else asks me to move, it's just you, your this, your that. Anyway when I dropped her off at the chinese to collect the meal... I grabbed her handbag from the passenger floor and launched out the window and proceeded to drive away leaving her.

I got home nice and safe without anything blocking my view, she made her own way home via public transport.

A very happy ending... we made up a few days later and needless to say she hasn't put her in head in the way since then.

OTT very much so but it did provide me with a giggle. The thing that really annoys me is my "friend" who doesn't drive, who likes to press every single switch & pull every lever everytime he's in the car. I now force him to sit in the back. The rest of my mates can't wait till he finally learns and we can exact some revenge for all these years....

Haha... I'm very charming and have a nice smile :p

Joking aside... If you had been on the receiving end of her abuse after I asked her to move out the way... an angel would have done the same thing.

No I know, that's my point. I was using that example as that was my parents trying to teach me manners, as a kid:p

I can only imagine how much that would have annoyed your gf.

She got the message and i only had to point it out once, if something is cheesing me off it best to nip it in the bud, if the other person doesn't respect me enough to listen and understand my viewpoint then i'd rather not bother, clearly this is a two way street.

My wife recently managed to kerb (properly kerb) two alloys.

I'm not that bothered, they refurb easily enough. But it will come out of her allowance...oh yes...

My recent ex likes putting feet on the dashboard, my car isnt too highly maintained but that did my head in.

My girl's very good, she's well trained and clearly knows that I'm Alpha... Or something like that.

She's so anal about cleaning any ways, that she wouldn't dare drop litter or mess about with the car. She does ask to drive it every now and again though, which is never happening.

It's brutal isn't it. I forgot to mention, she has a habbit of drinking half a can of coke for example and squeezing it into the side door well. Whenever you go round a corner sharpish, break or anything other than a straight line. It splashes up and covers the door with sticky splashes.

I of course never realised this till she got out the car and I could see down there. It's happened a few times, she never listens.

It's a relatively new car aswel and I do my best to maintain the inside of it. No respect what so ever. If it's not blocking my view with her head, putting fizzy drinks in the door well, muddy feet marks from her boots, dropping Mcdonalds chips down the side or spilling tomatoe sauce on the seats.

I really feel I deserve to win the "worst girlfriend in a car" competition.

P.S. still think I'm too harsh fox?
