***** The Crysis 2 Thread *****

you all complain when you cant run the first game, now you complain that this game runs too well?

Different groups. I never complained about not being able to run the first game, as it ran perfectly acceptably for me at high detail when it first came out. Runs even better now. :D

i thought de-authortration had no limit????? :mad::mad::mad:

if i update my graphic driver it sometimes thinks it's a new system and asks to activate again which would use up another activate. so that why i de-authortration it first, but seems theres a limit...

wtf whats the point in having a deauth tool if there's a limit to it

EA/Crytek fail again

DRM fail! If they'd put a decent CD-Key check in for multiplayer they wouldn't have needed limited activations. So we've got the ludicrous situation here of a legit purchaser who is inconvenienced by DRM whilst pirates and cheaters run rampant through multiplayer.

The PS3 version of the complete crysis 2 was leaked first, to those crying of the PC version being pirated.

I bought the game on steam and since installing it and seeing xfire is poop I havn't bothered playing it again. Also the talk of the poor textures etc, just puts me right off. Really rubbish feedback (like the lack of recoil on the guns) makes it VERY unrealistic.

Played the MP mode which is buggy as hell two after struggling with entering a legit key, this is one game I seriously wished I did pirate lol, just not worth it.

Like the nanosuit and aliens are totally realistic to begin with.

You are meant to be super-human, so obviously recoil and realism wasn't at the top of the agenda when making the game.

reminds me of the arguments about halo being bad, with me being a long time halo fan! people say random crap like that all the time, how come the guns don't have loads of recoil, how about your character is wearing armour that tips the scales at half a metric ton that gives them literally superhuman strength, that about sum it up?! :D

Just bought this today and installing right now.

Had a quick look and downloaded patch 1.1, afaict this is the latest and only patch, right guys? :)

Don't like the look of that Gareth :(

Edit: NVM, auto-installs patch.

Grab the gfx util in the first post. It'll come in handy.

And read the other MyCrysis link for fixes to do with logging into multiplayer, etc...

Explain being able to dive straight down from mid-jump - guess the super duper nano suits have jet propulsion aswell eh?

Its these sort of little touches that make or break a game for me, this one has BROKEN written all over it.

Not saying all pirates are like this but this is exactly why so many pirate in the first place. If you pirate you get convenience, no DRM, no keys, and something thats yours. You dont have to jump through hoops to use something you just payed for. With some games you have to be constantly connected to the net to play them, and it's like you dont even actually own what you've payed for as theres so many limits. All of which are just an inconvenience to paying customers as every single game/DRM gets cracked and the companies know it will happen.
I fully support piracy when companies do this. The pirates are the smart ones in these cases and often have more morals than the fools who are paying to get ****** over by the biggest thiefs of all - companies like EA.

And do you understand difference between "game" and "simulation" ?

I couldn't even find the de authorization tool in the files where did you find it?

It's probably the best looking game on PC other than the other Crysis games

To be honest, I was expecting a lot more from Crysis 2 (Graphics wise) I thought the first one looked far superior. I think it's pretty much on par with a lot of other games out just now. Certainly wasn't the "crysis graphics" I was expecting.
