When are the next wave of nv and amd graphics cards due out? Think i might need to upgrade if im gonna run this with eyefinity...

Based on complete rumours:

1. I read somewhere that suppsedly a GTX 570 will be enough to max it out.
2. Amd are due to release a new series in the summer.... (this one I doubt as I know that historically AMD release new cards from Sep-December)

This saddens me, probably wont look as good as the vids unless EVERY game recently has been very very poorly optimized?

This is where the Pc community could be accused of double standards.

On the one hand we complain when a game looks as good as Crysis 2, but is obvioulsy consolozed and yet runs great... and then we complain when a game such as BF3 which hopefully will be developed for the pc (it should be 64bit support and DX11) and yet we complain about the high system requirements...

Thats not a personal dig at you by the way, just an observation.

Personally im not that bothered if my 5870 cant max the game out, just reduce the AA and AF and im sure it'l still look fantastic!

I was implying that it might run too well, when i was hoping it would stress are systems to death. Because looking at the trailers the graphics look amazing :)

Most people are amazed at the new lighting system, but they don't actually know it's the lighting system that's making it so pretty, it just looks good. They can scrimp and save in other places.

Havent the devs already said something along the lines of if you can play BC2 maxed out you can run this maxed as it will be better optimised for PC as PC is the lead platform.

Havent got a source to hand but it was mentioned somewhere in this thread

I hope so!

But what I heard was that the videos we have been shown, was running on a GTX 570... although that could just be: a) bull and b) doesnt mean anything less cant max it out.

*Edit

Actually thinking about it, I think the whole 570 thing may not be true, as this is a game which is being developed with AMD hardware in mind (as in its one of the 'AMD Gaming Evolved' titles).

First of all thats nothing to worry about... and secondly it doesnt list it as obviously its a future title, but your can see here that all previous Dice/Frost bite games are 'Gaming Evolved' titles.

To be honest with you, its just marketing bs, like the whole TWIMTBP from the green team.

At worst, like Shogun 2 and Dragons Age 2, on day one release the game will play poorly, untill Nvidia release a driver update...

Good news for me then, it means i might get a smooth FPS at minimum settings instead of a fairly meh FPS on BC2 :p
