The new Orange Android phone (San Francisco) £99...but a Question??

Well installed swedish spring rls4 and battery life is still kinda sucky.
In my case the RDS feature of the custom FM radio was the culprit.

Whenever I connected in-ear earphones to the phone, I could always hear static "shhhhhhh" as if some kind of music player was still active. Helped me narrow it down to the music player or FM Radio.

I'm currently running Cyanogen N35, got a couple of bugs, but it is a WIP. Nice to be running Gingerbread 2.3.3

Thanks

I'm just taking a look at the instructions for that one now

I don't understand what the Google Apps file is for? Why does it need to be installed?

You need to install Google Apps to be able to access the Market. The Google suits in their infinite wisdom, forbade the cyanogen team from including google apps within the rom. Btw, don't install N36.

Aah im assuming there's a battery app so i can keep an eye on things?

Battery is still sucky, so somethings draining it.

getting one next week 99% sure :) we'll see :O is the one at the orange shop 2.1 android? or will it be the updated 2.2?

It will be 2.1. There isn't an official 2.2 rom, but the custom ones made on Modaco and such are pretty much as official as you are going to get. They are 100% stable now, and with CM7 final coming out soon, there should be a pretty much fully stable 2.3.3 build!
