Internet Dating.....Who Has Done it?!

They should have an option for in the future, because I do want kids, but not any time soon.
Also, no-one got any advice on mine that I posted a couple of pages ago?
For me I say I want kids but that doesn't mean I want to meet a guy and have his babies right away! I just want to know if that's what they want down the line as well. I see no point in being with someone if they are adamant that they don't want marriage or children because 9 times out of 10 they don't suddenly change their minds and it all ends in heartache. Might sound a bit harsh but life's too short.
I'd want to be with someone a couple of years before considering marriage and then after marriage I'd want to have children.
However, I think a lot of guys overthink and wrongly assume that I want to get involved with them and get married right away. I don't!
Marriage and children to me are not things to be taken lightly. I want to make sure I'm with the right person. Yes if I was in a long term relationship right now and married, I'd have no qualms about having a child and yes I would've liked to have kids before I was 30 but it's highly unlikely to happen now, I'm not going to rush into things to reach that "deadline" so I just have to "suck it up."
I guess it depends how far in the future you want to have kids. Some people have a "set" time i.e. they don't want children until they're 40 etc.

I think you need to have a few more smiley ones. Number 4 is a good example because you're looking directly at the camera and there's a hint of a smile.
1st and 3rd photo's you look a little grumpy lol
The blurb reads ok but it doesn't say much about what you like to do in your spare time.

When I was younger I thought both meant the same thing. Nowadays though they don't. Dating for some people can mean seeing someone and hoping it leads to something, for others it purely means seeing someone but not necessarily wanting it to go further or put a label on it and say you're bf/gf and exclusive.
You've put you're looking for dating but then further down it says your intent is looking for a relationship so personally I think the "for" bit needs to be changed so both match.
I'd also make photo 4 your profile pic

I change my profile pic around, to try and get attention if you know what I mean?
The intent thing is stupid, I've changed it though, why do we need to choose it twice?
I haven't really put what I do in my spare time too much just because it's so all over the place I don't even know any more!

Just posted a profile on PoF again - tried before when I was a mature student, and got very little response, now I have a job I'm getting more interest....
I'm not that hopeful, but at my age (46) there's no harm in trying I guess !
Shame I have to put a 'few extra pounds' as my build - that seems to cover people who really are only a little bit overweight up to complete whales and I think I'm the former...

Heh I've been on a couple of speed dating events. The first one was for 'graduate professionals' so when the topic of job came up, saying 'IT Consultant', the girls didn't bat an eyelid. The second one had no restrictions and when I said 'IT Consultant' a lot of the girls' eyes lit up, almost as if dollar signs were about to appear in them Looney-Toons style. Women are so shallow

So I went on a date with a girl from match.com last night. Went really well! She's polish, very hot and works for a hedge fund. We met at 7 and time just flew, it was 1am before we knew it! Did my best to tempt her back to mine but she was having none of it! Got a text from her saying she had a great time and wants to see me again. Giggidy!

Saying that I'm very picky, but in terms of number of genuinely interested girls, speed dating wins.
It definitely has a stigma of being a event for swamp beasts, but I've found that there are some crazily hot women at these events, the swamp beast quotient is much better in comparison to online dating.
Still doing both, casting a wide net.

Polish girls (I know a fair few where I live) are (sometimes surprisingly) well-behaved when it comes to men. They party like mad and are the first going crazy on the dancefloors, but they have traditional values and do expect to be treated well, and for men to behave like gentlemen... this is a consistent thing i've seen and heard from them. Take your time, be fun and attentive, and don't treat them like meat. The rewards will be a fiercely loyal girlfriend who will go to the end of the earth for you, and I have it on good authority that once they trust a guy they are most certainly not shy in the bedroom. Good luck man, if you play your cards right you could be onto a real winner there.
