Internet Dating.....Who Has Done it?!

So out of interest, did anyone have trouble getting photos to put on their profile, and if so, how'd you get around it? There are very few photos of me from the last two years and I've changed quite a lot since back then (RIP dreads

), on top of that I'm about the least photogenic a person can be - doesn't bode well for a first look

Too much expectations in these sorts of sites, worst of all you get the phrase Finding my soulmate, how you can find your soul mate through a profile is way beyond understanding.

What?

Dating websites is the next best thing to ALL the singles in your area lining up so you can have a good look.

And for some of us here, approaching randoms at a bar/club is probably the biggest waste of our time since we (speaking for myself mostly here) don't live that kind of life, so yay, short fling, then single again when we say no to going out?

Don't worry, the mindless stigma against dating websites will soon pass. Some people can't seem to get in their heads that the EXACT same dating rules are followed, it's just the introduction method that's different. Instead of drunkenly slobbering and screaming over a bangin' Usher tune with lager-breath into each other's ears as the 'normal' method of meeting, you happen to chat online for a bit before taking it back to the traditional way of courting where all the usual unspoken rules apply. I know of a few stunning girls that all went the dating site way as they, but own admission, got tired of being pestered by beer-up buffoons in clubs and like the idea of having a 'menu' to pick from and see if anything interesting takes their fancy.

Dating will always be dating, online is just another helpful tool in the whole process.

Update from this post...

Exchanged a few more emails to see if I could work out if this person was for real of just someone on a wind up. She seemed genuine so I gave her my number (luckily it's being changed this week so there's no real worry) and ask her to send me a picture of her face (I was quite specific I didn't want a rude one) and low and behold she sends a naked full frontal shot, then rings me straight afterwards! We chatted for a couple of minutes which seemed fine but when I questioned her about the picture she went into what can only be described as a filthy rant about what she intends to do to me when we meet.

Anyway. Ended the conversation, blocked her number and profile on PoF.

I'm sure 'most' of the guys here would have smashed it however she's clearly a nut case. After telling me each thing she was going to do to me she said "Just like I used to do to my ex" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The most disturbing thing for me wasn't what she was saying but her really strong Birmingham accent. For such a good looking woman she sounded really ruff lol.

I received an email this morning from a woman who seems really nice but physically I have no attraction. Her email was kind of odd though as she wrote "If you're looking for someone beautiful and fake then I'm not the girl for you. However if you want a pretty girl who's down to earth an lovely then I'm right here".

Does that sounds like she may have a few issues?
