Full outer gear cables on the XTC as well (same frame size, so shouldn't be a problem)
Also, front brake hose has plenty slack for the extra travel

Are the spacers for the front mech expensive?

Good good, as for the spacers they should be peanuts, I got mine free from my lbs but I have a good friendship with them.

With a steel frame, is it considered good practice to coat the inside with an anti rust coat like WD40 or Waxoyl? ie: spray it down the seat tube etc?

Just been doing some additional reading and it seems like a good idea?

Ooh, man it would be wicked being here right now!

wont do any harm but also water isn't really going to get in once your seat posts in there , certainly not enough to make it properly rust

Yeah, have a few places around here but limited to cycling distance at the moment. Going to a place called kings cliff later or tomorrow. Possibly the Quantocks if we can find a lift. Ramscombe/Triscombe are good fun.

How long are you out for with the injury? Was it biking related?

Yeah, it was biking related and is on a video I posted a few pages back :D Can ride a bike but pretty much only one handed, it'll be a few more weeks before I can ride properly.

I was born in Somerset and used to spend a lot of time as a kid on the Quantocks only lived 2 miles from it. Awesome place but want to go back down there for some rides some time as I've never ridden a bike there.

Went for a ride up Cut Gate this morning with Andelusion was a really techy climb followed by a super fast descent, great fun :D

How often do you guys go out riding together? I live in the York area and want to start riding regularly, it's just a pain motivating yourself to go out on your own when the weather isn't that great. The last few days have been amazing though.

As much as we can but really it depends on what we have on that week with work and uni and everything else that gets in the way!

If you are interested I think a few of us will be going to Dalby this Sunday, you are welcome to tag along.
