UEFA Champions League/Europa League 3/4/5 May *** Spoilers ***

shot my a sniper playing COD? :)

Mascherano never dived like that when he was at liverpool.

Not sure if that is sarcasm but he was dramatic at times, i'll admit he is the guy you like when he is on your team, hate him when he isn't in it, but he has gone from bad to worse at barca.

He didn't 'dive' there either though. Ronaldo falls onto his leg.

He's always exaggerated fouls though and rolled around. Many a time he went down and I was worried he picked up a serious injury, only for him to be charging around like a mad man after a few minutes.

He dived for the foul near the corner flag was it?

I do miss his psychotic runs at goalkeepers.

Regarding the rolling around, I've competed in full contact martial arts in the past, played football, crashed my motorbike at 50 odd mph, fell out of a tree and cracked my head open when I was 11, got hit by a car when I was on my pushbike when I was at primary school, been in in 2 car crashes as a passenger..................

And I dont think I've ever been hurt enough that I have felt the need to roll around on the floor like Mascherano did when he stubbed his toe in that tackle.
Almost as bad as Messi trying to make out he was concussed from being kicked up the arse.

You're just too hard for that stuff mate ;D

Also wasn't that when Arbeloa accidentally came through the back and hit Messi's head with his shin/knee?

Really? I thought the only criticism of the ref people would have was that he was too lenient.

I joked with my dad I'd time the dives given, near the 70th minute there was one given nearly every 90 seconds for about 5 minutes. Stop giving them ref let the tempo flow.
I see what you mean by lenient, but that's because you might think they're actually being fouled.

I don't think a player has tried as hard as Adebayor has in both legs to get sent off. What was he doing there?

Sammme. Really just laughable at times. What more does he have to do?

Anyway, better game, less acting from Barca. Still too many bad tackles and dirty play from Real though. Completely lost it second half and were just out to kick Barca. Shame. Don't expect anything else from a Jose team though. Bitter and bad losers.

Do you think Masch should have been booked for it?

Yes but for unsporting behaviour rather than diving.

edit: not sure if diving/simulation or any other law covers exaggerating injuries/fouls though but it should be changed to do so if they don't.

According to the BBC

Fouls:
Barca = 3
Real = 27

Sums up Real's tactic imho, play dirty because we "can't" compete on the football pitch, which is a shame as Real Madrid have some great players and are capable of playing some really good football against anyone.
