Osama bin Laden is dead - no graphic/violent images.

Received an email from Peter Joseph, don't know if some of you may have already seen it. Coincidentally has a part of my sig in it.

(Don't take these words as mine)

These bleeding heart liberals (who have likely never been affected in any way by the events of the last 10 years leading up to this) are starting to annoy me. Only a fraction of people celebrated in a way that could be considered innapropriate.

Someone on QT last night made an excellent point. He pointed out that the armchair moralists are holding American and western civilisations to an impossibly high standard. Do they honestly expect 100% of the population to stare solemnly at the news bulletin, hug each other and have a minute's silence? It's ridiculous.

These people are sitting in their comfortable leather chairs at home preaching about how people should not be happy at the demise of bin Laden and how he shouldn't have been killed etc. People are human. When someone who threatens their safety is removed, they have a right to be relieved, if not happy about it. There are only a few people who took it too far, just like those few at a football match who start kicking off.

I despair at the number of people who are losing grasp of reality.

I nod at this. I believe it was the neo-conservative guy who said that.

I think its really more of a trend thing, people are just saying it to try and sound popular, have people agree with them, and maybe make friends from it too.

It could have been done better though.

And how much army and war experience do you have to assume that? How would you have done it any better if you were one of the troops that found OBL?

The world is a much safer place now that we've spent 10 years and billions of dollars to kill Bin Laden, oh... but we need to raise the terror alert level another notch because lots of other people hate us even more now.

Amen to that.

It was revealed Bin Laden, 54, was shot by US Navy Seals as he tried to grab two guns - and pushed his wife into the line of fire.

Panic-stricken Bin Laden apparently shoved his wife Amia, 27, toward the Navy Seal who shot him.

Sources said the warlord was scared and "completely confused" as the Special Forces men attacked.

A first shot was fired at Bin Laden as he poked his head around his bedroom door but it whistled past his head.

He darted back into the room and then shoved his wife toward an advancing Seal - in an apparent attempt to save himself.

Sources said barricades and women acting as a human shield greeted the Seals who attacked from helicopters. The Americans were then fired on.

Say the latest newspaper today who thought USA say "bin laden was unarmed ?"

No one actually thinks that, and the war and its costs were not only about OBL.

I dont get why simple common sense like this this needs to be repeated so many times.

I'm not worried about the cash to be honest. US defence spending drives forward technology development, pays thousands of soldiers a good wage, boosts international engineering and manufacturing industries and has incalculable benefits for the GLOBAL economy through import/export of raw materials and products.

Whilst a lot of big wigs in the US created a world recession in 2008? :p

Well done Sarah Palin for sent the message to Obama !

"Show photo as warning to others seeking America's destruction. No pussy-footing around, no politicking, no drama;it's part of the mission"

Sound like Palin doesn't trust Obama afterall.

It's frightening that Ms Palin thinks showing that photo will act as a warning to extremists.

It is even more frightening to think of her as president and commander in chief of the most powerful military in the world.

I'm glad there are still a few sane people hanging around this thread!

Not many unfortunately.

The amount of fruitcakes posting in here is simply astonishing.

"Some bloke on YouTube said..."

or

"Never believe anything a government says..."

:o

What annoys me more than anything is that now this tard is dead they cant just drop it. They started it blowing up thousands of innocent people. Your silly little leader gets killed and they want to go cry about it and stir up more rubbish.

It annoys me to think how much further forward as a race we could have been by now. Holding ourselves back playing in a big sandbox with crazy cavemen.

I read this on another forum and strongly agree:

No, they should have taken him into custody and given him a fair trial. Lol they're all a bunch of lying ********

Cool idea.

Guess who would get the blame for not executing the ****er on the spot every time a bunch of dumb terrorists take a class of preschooler hostages demanding the release of bin Laden, and then kill the kids when their demands are not met.
