What happen after death ?

If you believe in infinite time, then it is wholly possible for when you die to regenerate (i.e. by pure luck all your particles form together in exactly the same state as you were just before you died) a "trillion billion" (replace with an unimaginably large number) years later. You'll be dead so you won't even notice those years fly by. So you will die and then boom, you're back a googol years later. :p

Obviously the chances are incredibly minimal, but then ask yourself the chances of you being here right now ;)

The atoms and energy we're made of change all the time, in ten years you might be a completely new person in a sense, yet your awareness seems the same, we're more like a wave of information, so you might not even need to wait for similar particles to come together again, just something close to your brain structure to make another you.

The question is more 'what do you believe happens after death?' as we can never know for sure until we're dead, and either then we'll know, or we'll just be dead.

I find it difficult to believe there is any more than this. Sometimes I wonder what even 'this' is. What am I doing here, what are we, what is the physical nature of the universe, to the smallest level? What is the meaning of our existence? How did the universe come to exist? Are we more than the sum of our physical parts? Difficult. Science can't answer that, but religion can. Maybe the gaps in science will never be filled. By this I mean we are not mentally able to fully comprehend the true nature of our existence, even if someone told us what it was.

Is there any value to this experience? Does it amount to anything? Is the question of life after death a result of human arrogance and our self-centred nature to not be able to comprehend how our existence can fully cease?

Sometimes I think it'd be good to be a dog. You don't have to think about any of this stuff, and generally, life is good to you. What more could you want? What more do you need?

As you can see, there are more questions than answers right now.

I wish I could prove it but I know there is more to this life than what we have now. It's like our body is a vehicle for some higher form which we have yet to understand. God didn't just put us on this planet to live, die and that's it. If you read your Bible you will understand what im saying. However im not getting into a religious conservation on a Computer forum.

This is GD, not General Hardware! You're saying you have faith, which to be frank, I admire, as it's something I've never truly possessed. I'm not sure if it's something I want either, but I feel it's something that can only really be given, rather than something I can take if I did.

Agreed with the above poster. I've never truly had faith myself, I tried and tried but just couldn't believe it. If people do have faith then that's perfectly fine with me, it's the self-righteous ones who try and force it upon people that I have beef with.

Alex if we don't have faith what do we have? I don't consider myself a bible basher but I know there's something more. There's certain things which have happened to me in my life which I don't want to discuss on here, but they have reinforced the fact there is a God and we just don't die and end up in the clay.

Alex if we don't have faith what do we have?

That's a very deep question, and I think a very personal one too. It's got to be different for everybody - people may define faith in different ways and act in different ways. My question as someone without it is, do I need it? Should I want it? Why should I posses it? Will it even make any difference to my life? I don't think anyone else can answer those questions for you. Maybe in time, the answers will make themselves clear, maybe not, maybe never.

Somebody set us up the bomb.

Im not sure what would happen though. I imagine we'd just start wasting away, decompose a bit, smell bad and then get eaten by stuff. This is assuming that our family haven't burned us.
As others have mentioned, there is also possibility of your corpse being violated.
Not really too much else can happen.

Simple answer: The switch is flicked. Everything stops firing. Nothing else happens. Nothing else matters. All gone, done. Game over.

You cease to exist. The End.

You aren't floating off into some other existence as yourself or continuing your "journey". You END, and won't experience a single further thing.
