Are you sure they can't go to part time and then to full time? When playing in the English leagues, a part time team will go entirely full time (professional) once you get promoted from the Bluesquare Premier in to League 2.

Queens Park never go above amateur its part of there tradition.

Another question I have...when I look at the transfers and go in to their stats...the - (dashes), does that mean they don't have any skill in that area or is it that they haven't been scouted yet so don't show up?

you usually get money in july IIRC

and the dashes mean you aint scouted them yet
 
finished 9th , somehow tottenham won the league . harry getting touted as one of the greatest english managers...

a week later and their chairman is asking me to move there :p

on the march now having won Division 3 and went part time, managed to get a stonking wage budget of £3800 woot and a transfer kitty of £46000

currently nearing the end of my second season and chasing consecutive promotions with an all new squad assembled from free signings and spl rejects along with a few loaners from my parent clubs(aberdeen and motherwell)
currently sitting 2nd 3 points behind Dundee with 2 games to go against Ayr and Dumbarton having beaten dundee 2-1 in the last game :)

all i can hope is they slip up somewhere and i can go up as champions else its through the playoffs
 
My Dortmund game is coming along nicely, just approaching Christmas, top of the Bundesliga, still in the Deutscher Pokal, played 4 Europa League games, beating Dynamo Kiev, Liverpool and Montpellier, and then losing 1-0 at home against Liverpool. Only 1 game lost in the league, which was against Leverkusen, they beat me 2-1 in a game where I got a man sent off early on, then my goalkeeper got injured in the first half, and me being the idiot that I am didn't think to have a backup on the bench so I had to just put an outfield player there. Unfortunately Felipe Santana isn't cut out to be a goalkeeper and he conceded an absolute howler, a long Ballack shot that any proper keeper would have saved. Still the rest of the season so far has been great, beating Bayern Munich at the Allianz as well as smashing Bremen 5-0. :p

The board have just decided to give me 2.5 million to spend on January transfers though I'll need to shift some of the dead wood first. There's at least 4 players that I will never use and I'd like to bring in some extra quality backups instead of 3rd division type players who are my current backups. Amazingly the Westfalenstadion can hold 80,000 fans and we regularly fill it. Lyon were after Subotic but I stuck a £30,000,000 price on him and they decided to look elsewhere. :D
 
dammit :(

despite a 13 game unbeaten run to finish the season Dundee still pipped me to the title due to my poor start to the year :( oh well East Fife in the play off, bring it on :)

nope not in the spirit of the game :) yeah i know i used fmrte to edit from amateur to semi pro but seemingly its hard coded into the game not to change so i'm not restricting myself to the impossible :)



woot just pumped East Fife 2-0 in the first leg of the playoff semi Div1 here we come :)
 
darn, destroyed by ross county in the playoff final :(

back to planing for another div2 campaign for next year. this one i plan for automatic promotion :)
 
Just started a season with Reading FC, only done a few friendlies so far, but been busy in the trasnfer market trying to get as many good free/cheap players as possible as looking to get promoted this season. Wish me luck! Any particular tips for Reading anyone has?
 
FFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

finished second again this season,

and was absolutely destroyed 6-1 in my first playoff semi game against stirling, with us drawing 1-1 back at hampden ;(

another season another epic fail :(


almost had a serious rage quit keyboard accross the room moment at loosing 6-1 though :( went 2-0 down and decided to go for it before i knew it we were 4-0 down :( switched back to playing a counter attack style and ended up loosing 6-1 Bleeding cheating AI

oh well at least i managed to only loose 2 of my current team :) 3rd time lucky i hope

Phew! Game crashed and corrupted my save :eek: Fortunately, it made an autobackup (didn't know it did this...) and I only lost the most recent game I played. Heart was racing for a couple of mins :o

How are you doing a season so fast?

I'm still only 28 or so games into my first season.

edit: 8 points clear now after 30 games :)

Team still playing pretty poorly, struggle to win pretty much every game. At the start of the season I was winning 3/4/5-0 every match whereas now I am either drawing or stealing a win by the odd goal. Its annoying as I'm playing the same tactics, I especially seem to struggle against the rubbish teams :confused: didn't help losing my two best players in the January transfer window, but I got some winger on loan from Reading Reservers, signed Osborne from Coventry reserves and a few free youth transfers and things aren't going too bad.

Away to Gateshead next though and they seem to beat every top team in the league, I only got a 1-1 draw with them last time at home :(
