Edit: It might help to disable all your other addons and enable them piecemeal once you've got Tukui up - it's got a lot of stuff built in that works pretty well with the UI, and you'll want to keep these in place instead of overwriting/duplicating them.

Do you just drag and drop in the addons folder like other mods or is it a little more involved?

Will spend an hour when the missus is in bed messing about with it.
 
Aye, just extract all files to your addons folder. If you're playing a hybrid class, you'll get an option to choose between healer & dps/tank layout when you first log on - if you only play one or the other roles, disable the one you don't use in your addons menu before signing in to your character.

edit: OK only things I cant get to work are making my chat window non-transparent and I can't get my pet action bar to move from the right hand side of the screen :(

The one I'm using above is tukui, found it to be really good and adaptable. Combined mine with omen, dbm, recount, atlas and titanpanel. Suits my needs though I must admit doesn't seem the easiest for levelling or questing as everything seems a little too tucked away and tidy.

Link at the top let's you download tukui, rest can be found on curse.
 
I extracted the whole folder into the addons file, do I need to take each individual folder out of it?

Newts, I didn't get back online last night - did you get your panels sorted?

Apatia, nice work on 8/13 - what order did you go through the bosses? We're 2/13 down now, started with Halfus and Chimaeron went down last week - should be Atra down tonight and to my knowledge we're heading to Maloriak next. How did you find Magmaw?
 
Gawd I hate HC Omnotron, so much can go wrong! To my surprise it went down this wek fairly easily for a second kill.

We are trying conclave hc and nef at the moment.:rolleyes:

Was messing about with it but there is loads of stuff that i don't know what to do.

Like where should I put my Bars and stances, Also why is there 2 boxes that nothing can fit in?

Dunno what you've done to set it up like that... looks to me like you've downloaded a modded Tukui and/or it's conflicted with other addons you have installed. That banner across the bottom, for example, woul drive me crazy! You've got two unit frames set up as well, one above your quickbar (Tukui default) and one in the top-left (base UI default but reskinned - possibly X-PERL?).

The two boxes you're referring to I'm guessing are the grey boxes along the bottom centre? If you look at my & Newts' UIs, you can see that we've got dual 6-button quickbars in those boxes - not sure how Newts has set his up, but mine is actually one bar in each box, 12 buttons to a bar and ordered in two rows (1 - 6 on the top, 7 - 12 on the bottom). There's also a large grey box in between these two boxes, but I'm not sure where yours has gone. This larger box fits two standard 12-button rows one on top of the other. The mod you need is Bartender - you can set up as many as 12 different quickbars and custimise each one, be it a teeny tiny 4-button shapeshifting bar, the aforementioned 6x2 quickbar block for the sides or my own 3x4 block for crafting & mounts as seen between my quickbar hub and loot window/bag frame. It'll also let you shift that bar you have on your screen now so that it fits better between the two grey blocks - I find that on default Tukui settings, a Bartender scale of 0.85 with button padding 1 fits quite snugly. You can ditch the numbers displayed on the buttons too, and do away with that annoying menu bar (buttons for character pane, dungeon finder, achievements, quests etc that can all be accessed by shortcuts or by middle-clicking your minimap) and bag frame (Tukui has a hidden bag frame that you can toggoe on and off in the bag window).

If you don't want the grey boxes on either side, hover your mouse over the outer edges - left edge for the left box, right edge for the right box. You should get a button popup that'll allow you to collapse the frame completely, leaving that area clear for other things. I can only hope that this is why you don't have a central box. If so, sweeping your mouse over the area slowly will bring up a maximising button that should return the box in all its glory. If not, I can't help you.

no it's still transparent, much to my annoyance. I even copied and pasted your lua directly over mine and it still wouldn't change. I'm assuming I have done something in game which is in turn effecting the panel from changing. It's annoying but I can live with it. Really pleased with the new setup. Just after parrot next to finish things off.
 
That's a shame, I have no idea what else to suggest - can't think of what else I've changed :/, maybe you really are just cursed :p

I'm gonna have a fiddle with the TelUI scripts on Wednesday, see if I can find the transparency for the Omen & Recount skins. Once they're solid, everything will be perfect (until the next time I get uppity or some stupid GM tells me to wipe my cache & WTF to fix a problem on their side :mad:)

Melee DPS - has anyone noticed a bug on the Magmaw fight where the arrow to jump on his head is greyed out? I'm in the right position to hit it, there's not too many people up there already because he broke free of the single chain, but the arrow is grey rather than green and I can't jump on his head. It's happened twice now.
 
It's been 6 years since I first started playing WoW and 5 and a half after I burnt out and quit due to the grind. Yet, after watching a large number of Youtube vids recently, I blew a eight quid on WoW vanilla and Burning Crusade. I must say that I'm really looking forward to being called a noob by some acne ridden snotty nosed 14 year old. :D

One suspects I may have to wait a while for this honour. Patching could be an epic quest in itself. :rolleyes:

Get yourself on Defias Brotherhood and Ill play along side you sometimes if ya get lonely, Im a bit of a noob too since coming back to wow after a 3 year break :)
