Anyone who isn't using a fountain pen for this kind of work is asking for RSI.
You can still get new Parker 45s on the bay for relativity cheap, will last you a very, very long time. If you want to go all out, get a Pelikan.

. I was taught how to write with a Lamy so I don't think I will ever move away from it, never really tried any other fountain pens though.If you want to look the boss you should go for a quill

Ahh, meh I don't see how anyone could go back to Biro once you have got used to fountain, all you Biro peasants should get to the bay and get a sub £15 Fountain.

I need to replace my Parker 45 soon. It is getting a little scratchy. I used to have a great £40 Waterman that I used a Smiths voucher on one Christmas but some pleb nicked it.

So the general consensus seems to be, do not take Further Maths as it is very hard. Yeah?
No. I'd say don't do further maths because it just sucks the life out of maths. If you have the opportunity to do a few modules early, then further maths isn't too bad

Do take further maths. If you don't, and you want to do something vaguely scientific, you'll regret it.
Being a leftie and all round bad writer, I end up smudging fountain pen ink everywhere or just having trouble bending my arm over. I have fine tipped pilot/Mitsubishi ballpoints of some description, which don't often smudge, and I don't have to bend your arm round to use.

It may be hard, but I think it will be useful in any maths/science type degree. Also it is a well respected A level, and sometimes interesting.
Although, having said that it's hard, I found the AS level FP1 very straightforward, it's just the A2 FP2 module that is hard now. Even if you don't think you want to do the whole A level, just an AS in further maths would be advantageous imo. (could do it in your spare time as well; extra AS).

Well i've found C1 and D1 rather hard, i know i could do well in them if i tried harder but meh, we haven't spent that much time on them and we've had less lessons within that time than we would normally have so you know... still, i think i'll pass on further.

I HATE FP1. I just cannot do it, exam is on Friday
I haven't done much D1. I'm supposed to have self taught it. All I've done is read the text book once, it shouldn't be too hard
I found C1 and C2 pretty easy to be honest.
Apparently for that MS1 exam they'd entered us A2 students by accident but then later had us removed from the exam, but this wasn't updated on our statements of entry and they never thought to tell us about this (and the people in charge of exams at my college told me I was entered when I asked them!). Bloody media studies.
So yeah, S1 on Friday. I've never had a single lesson for that module, should be fun.

I just had a sociology AS exam on family and households, it was insanely easy!
Ahh, I remember last years 9 maths exams. FP2 is the most horrific thing known to mankind. I'm glad I just about missed my maths offer (5ums!) last year now, I would hate to be trapped doing 4 years of it!
