Black vans for under £3k

You just type 'Black' into the search box. Heck, the 'example' text is 'White Transit Tipper', indicating how to search for colour.

But the fact there is no specific colour selector on there tells you how much the colour of a van simply... isn't the point of a van.

Did you actually try that?

I did, yes. You get a selection of mostly black vans including the odd bit of trash that isn't black. But it's sufficient for finding out which sub £3k vans on autotrader are... black, given the fact its black is an unusual enough attribute to be specifically mentioned in the advert.

You can further remove the trash by filternig by payload as well.

well its pretty evident that autotrader takes into account whats important to most people and not whats important to MikeHiow. :D

I never suggested it should be, Fox questioned my motives by suggesting I could have just searched auto trader by colour.

Which you can. Sure, you get non-black stuff, but it filters it down quite a bit from the thousands of results you get before you enter 'black' in the criteria.

The colour is very important to me, the fact that it is not to most people is completely irrelevant.

More important than reliability, age, mileage, condition, price?

Seriously, I only though women were this narrow minded when buying cars!

I can tell you now Mike, from your retarded backwards way about even doing the simple first steps of this scheme such as buying a van, the plan is a bad one. Its obviously so flawed you don't want to mention it knowing people will tear it down. Either that, or its something you have talked about on here before and been met with negative replies.

Either way, if you go about your 'business ventures' like you go about buying a van, god help your customers.

I don't really have anything to add that hasn't already been said/asked.

So I'm gonna go to bed; I hope to read about the beginnings of another MikeHiow classic when I awaken.

Wow, was it really worth 49 posts to figure out you could type the words "black van" into the autotrader search box?

As I've said, I'm perfectly capable of determining a vans suitability, but seeing as black vans are so rare and the colour is essential one way or another, it is not unreasonable to make it my first search criteria, which can be further filtered from there.

Fox would trawl used cars for months to find his preferred colour combination and this is no different.

So, nice shiney black van. Gleams when clean doesn't it?

So, thought of a name for your detailing business Mike? Don't forget the public liability insurance this time :p

No different? Its a £3k van, not a £20k BMW...

So anyway Mike, what are you going to call your detailing business? Is it you on your own or is there more people involved? I assume from the van colour that your logo and signwriting designs are based on a black background. Got any mock ups? Also, best make sure you have liability insurance. Wouldn't want to damage anyones paint.

LOL! You looking over my shoulder or something?! Of all the business ventures in the world...!

Perhaps you understand the colour choice now - image is everything and a White van just doesn't do it.

As for designs, I know what I want and have my designer on the case.

Only a MikeH thread could have so many posts at half past midnight!

That's because we're not racist :p.

In all seriousness, Renault Trafic / Vauxhall Vivaro is what most tradesman I know recommend :).
