*****Ultimate Football Manager 11*****

This game is really starting to **** me off entirely. 1st Season new to FM finish 6th with liverpool 2nd year finish 4th same team 3rd year first 5 games and ive only won 1 and lost the rest !! Yet won both Champions League Qualifiers so i dont know wth is going on in the league all the players seem unable to do anything correct :(
 
Got a query about fm 2010 if anyone would like to help me.

I cant activate the game, when I run the game the uniloc window appears and the message "disconnected activation.

I've tried running the game with my firewall off, cant think of anything else to try. I'm running avg anti virus might this be a conflict?

Also installed patch 10.3 in the hope it would fix something but it hasnt had any effect.

Thanks for any help.
 
Why is it that teams like Man Utd, Man City & Spurs etc get QUALITY Free Transfers all the time yet when i look, nothing there :(

Any ideas?
 
Another query i have is, while looking online for player recommendations they dont seem to be in my game. My game date is 2nd Jan 2012, on their screenshot, there date is 2010/2011 or even later but i cant find these players in my game. Player search is negative.

Scouting.

If you have a crap scout network, how are you supposed to know about them?

Day one in game:

Go through scouts and assignments.
Sort out your coaches and physios.
Set out your own training schedules.
Tell the board you can compete with the transfer budget they have given you.
Tell the board you need the youth facilities improving.

It just seemed like there were far to many variables for me to be able to get my head around to be able to enjoy compared to things like 00/01 where it was more about the players and the tactics rather than saying the wrong word at half time causing crushing defeat from a 2-0 lead.

I just go mental at my lot if they are slacking.
If I go in to half down either drawing or loosing they get a "simply not good enough" "tell the side you expect them to do much better in the second half".
If they dont turn it round, they get a "tell the players this was an embarrasing result for the team".

I then give them a kicking in private chat as well after the match.

Just started playing my Crawley game again after a little break. My team is playing rubbish, despite that i'm top on goal difference but getting so irate stealing 1-0 wins against teams bottom of the league. Refs seem to hate me as well as i'm getting red cards every other game. Bad injury problems too (best striker, midfielder and defender out for over 2month) hoping when players get back if i'm still around about the top I should be able to kick on.

Couple of my old Blue Square league players are being regularly found out at this level as well :(

good luck with your game, finally managed to get crawley into the championship (2021) after managing to get into the playoffs 4 out of the last 5 seasons and getting battered in the final :(.

players are starting to get a bit greedy tho so i see a bit of trouble ahead, just hope my scouts can pull out some blinding little suprises :).

3rd round of the league cup - chelsea
2nd round of FA cup - a top of the league spurs

im starting to think this is a bit silly...

then the draw for the 1st knockout round of the champions league comes around.... real madrid

who are also about to make an 80 million bid for neymar that i know my board will accept , i will never be able to replace him and im sure i wont even see all of that cash

Tbf, I'm with Portsmouth in 2019-2020. I got man united first up in the League cup, and 2nd draw in the FA cup, and Olympique Marsielle (best Striker AND CB in the game ) [though both were injured xD] and I managed to beat them all. The latter stages will be easier...of you get through the first.
 
These rich teams are annoying, especially the obsurd release fee prices they have on players.
Spurs are second in the leage un my game as Swansea City...im top :) year is 2011 and mid transfer window just closed.
 
back on with my Queens park and its looking like this could be my season in Division 2 :)

sitting 2ns after 7 games with a game in hand on league leaders Peterhead

BUT more importantly has been the league cup games

having destroyed Peterhead 5-1 in the first round then taking 3 goals with no reply against St Johnstone in the 2nd round i drew Celtic in the third round away.

RESULT beat the spl bigdogs 4-1 on their home turf :) :)

watch my season fall apart now lol

4 seasons of mediocrity in Div2 and i've just cursed the best start i've ever had :(
 
Just stated a game as Man Utd to try and work out how to play again. Crappy players and staff released, a few new staff brought in including Baldini but there is one guy I really want who isn't interested so i need to keep an eye. McLair moved to coach from youth coach.

Got all my scouts out looking for good under 23s, annoyingly unable to sign more scouts as we still have more than the board think is ok. Just signed a deal with a russian feeder team too.

Have been trying to sign Naymar, De Gea and Bale (all rated 4/5) bale and De Gea both said they'd love to talk but cant get offers accepted for Naymar, or Bale and when Athletico accept my 17.5m offer to activate his release clause De Gea apparently suddenly doesn't want to chat. I've also moved the wages/transfers slider to give me 26 million to spend. Nothing happening yet though.

Gibson is out on loan at Villa with a deal to make it permanent and no bugger wants to take Bebe on loan. Thus far i've noticed that Chicarito isn't anywhere near as clinical as in real life but i'm sure that'll change in next years game.

All my friendlies are played and i'm about to face Chelsea for the charity shield. The whole team is fit and ready to go so i just hope we can at least give them a run for it.

On an unrelated note, if anyone has the metallic logos that come in three 700mb files is there any chance you can bung them on newzgroups. Having a right struggle getting the 3rd file from the file sharing site it is hosted on for some reason.

yup, you should know by now you mention any decent start and its relegation :D.

fingers crossed it carries on for a bit longer :).

struggling in the championship, getting a lot of 1-0 losses :(.

also noticed that i'm struggling with "trained in england" players, so have to look into that next season :(.
 
got Woking promoted from Blue Square South, let 20 players leave and got 15 in (all on frees) and am now a point clear at the top of the BS Premier having won 9, yes 9, games on the trot :D The hardest thing is just finding people who want to come to you. With stuff like loans my assistant manager will filter out most of the people who won't come to me but 50% of the time if I find a good player I'll offer them a contract and they will reject. it's taken me longer to find replacement players than anything else.

Getting staff is a pain too. They want to come to me but i can't offer more than £180 a week in wages for some reason. Despite being £300k in the black!

Anyone found that the game doesnt re-structure debt right any more? At Charlton im in the prem for the 3rd season and found that instead of being about 6m in debt the board turned it into 36m :( Admittedly iv been running in the red all season to get top quality players (looking like im in the title race at christmas impressively with players like the wonder kid below).

My first wonderkid at Charlton after 5 seasons :D


At 6 foot 9 the game struggles to make him look normal on the pitch! :D

Anyway for posters above (someone asked about good frees) one of the tips to do is use the search feature to look at who's contracts run out in 3 and 6 months, scout them and make some noises at signing them. This can get them to not sign a new one and get them on the free release :) (I got Fleck to leave Rangers like this).

Im also amazed some of you have the patience for for the semi-pro leagues :p they always drive me up the wall
 
Well after beating Chelsea on Pens in the charity shield and then drawing away to Newcastle I wasn't sure how well it might be going. I've just beaten Arsenal away 6-2 after being up 3:2 at half time.

Our passes were all over the shop in the first 30 mins until I switched from direct to short. That seemed to settle everything down.

Lets see how I get on long term though.
 
I've started a prem game as...Blackpool.

So far, got a left back for 250K, very good looking stats, from Bulgaria. 750K loan for Rafael and thats it so far, looking at strengthening all the team bar midfield. Any ideas who I can grab on my 1st season, go about 3m left to use.

So Hernandez scores a hatrick in my away game at Villa after only previously etting 1 goal in several games. I praise him after the game, excellent performance. I get "I'm surprised you think that" so I say glad you think you can do better, just wanted to know the last game was good and i get back "i'm leaving, this isn't going well"

EDIT: Mike Phelan talks to the press after the game running out of superlatives and now Hernandez wants his bloody children.

The only reason I can tihnk that he didn't like my comments was because I hand't clicked contineu enough times after the final whistle so maybe for some reason he thought my comments were about the previous game not the one we just had.

Also now working out that talking to the press about the dangerman or anything is a silly idea as your players get the whinge on.

In game or Real Life do not talk to the press :)

It can be a very annoying side of the game as there seems to be little consistency. Almost annoys as much as the attempts to buy my players at less than market value over and over and over again.
