Villa have some pretty decent players, wouldn't surprise me given how poor their season was that a lot of the "bigger" clubs wouldn't raid them.

they can afford to lose one of downing or young maybe but not both, they've got some decent kids coming through and with some investment could be decent next year.

Liverpool could really do with a youngesque player imo.

I believe that Wolves need to invest in defense. We need a strong minded central defender who can push and motivate the defense and even the whole team. Jody Craddock needs to be replaced I think.

I also think wolves need to look at Ebanks Blake as a more active player next season.

Wolves need strikers.

They play some nice stuff, they just offer nothing in the box, the amount of chances they squander is unbelievable.
A decent striker, and Wolves would be on their way.

Ebanks Blake showed signs of being a fairly decent striker, he's just not really played much for Wolves in the Premiership has he? (Sorry if he's started loads, but I can't remember hearing much about him)

I think Wolves like a lot of the clubs who struggled this season could do with strengthening all over in general but their priority as atpbx has said should be someone who can convert chances.

There was a few reports linking us with both Young and Downing and like I said then, while Young's a slightly better player, a Downing type player is what we need.

We've got no natural width in our squad; all of Kuyt, Meireles and Maxi (and even Cole and Jovanovic who will leave anyway) start out wide but do all their work cutting infield. Young would add pace (which we also lack) but we still won't have any width as he too likes to cut inside. At least with Downing we'd have somebody that will stay out wide and put crosses into the box, which hopefully Carroll will thrive on.

We're probably going to be in the market for 2 wingers though so I wouldn't be too disappointed if we got Young, providing we signed an out and out wide player too.

So heres the list, incase you missed it for reasons why to get Young.

Over 3 or 4 seasons Young has EASILY been better than any winger UTD have. - No he hasn't, he wasn't better than Nani this season or Valencia last season

Shall we add in a few more complaints Utd fans have made this season.

Why do we have to play Rooney wide, wheres our cover for Valencia, Obercrap, Bebecrap, Crappycrap aren't good enough and won't make it, etc, etc - Rooney's barely played wide at all this season, in fact he's barely played wide since Ronaldo left two years ago, so if your argument is bring Young in to be a squad player because he's better than Obertan & Bebe sure bring him in, he's not going to want to go from playing week in week out to being on the bench though is he

For the record I don't think Park will be at Utd in a decade because, he's 30 now, so chances are slim to none, who is it that knows less about your squad exactly? - That's not what you said though is it, you said Park wont end his career with us, when in fact he more than likely will or will be at the club until he doesn't have the legs for it anymore

Are you also forgetting that he's finally involved in the England squad and, I forget the stats but he's scored or assisted what 6 of the last 7 England goals since he's been starting? IE Young is likely to become a very key member of the England squad, meaning the club who have him have a lot of commercial value. - Irrelevant, since Beckham found himself the wrong side of 30 Walcott, Bentley, Lennon have all had positive moments playing for England yet none of them have nailed the spot down, Young will be no different

Would love to see Ruud back in England. Looks like Spurs will grab him. Ruud and Fart might just be the winning formula Spurs need to get back into the champs league.

Benzema and RVP upfront for arsenal could be a good combination but I am more interested in seeing who Arsene signs for defense and if Fab will stay or go.

Alittle disappointed Da Gea is going to be our new #1. He is only 20, fantastic player but come on.... he isn't a replacement for VDS. I still think we will go through that weird patch that we went through after Peter left. :(

I think Da Gea is a replacement for Van De Saar, that's why United purchased him ?

He's already a top keeper and he's still very young, just lacks experience at the very top level.

Meh, wasnt' Fabien Barthez supposed to be Peter's replacement? That didn't go too well.

I just think trying to fill the space VDS will leave won't be easy.

United went through a number of keepers in a fairly short space of time.

I'm very excited to see De Gea in action
