Offical PSP2 (or rather NGP) Thread

Quite tempted by either one of these or the 3DS, both me and the g/f are always on my iPad playing games so the appeal of a handhold console is much greater now than it has been during the previous DS/PSP incarnations

Might end up getting both providing the games are new rather than just ports, Uncharted for example is that just a port or is it a new game?

It's a new game but it won't be developed directly by Naughty Dog like the PS3 versions.

Perhaps we'll see a few more UMD only games released on PSN now that backwards compatibility has been confirmed, that should provide slightly more incentive anyway.

I hope so. I have a few UMDs, that while I'll happily pull out my PSP to play, I would rather have them in one location on what would be my NGP.

That said, if the Playstation Suite is as interconnected with the Xperia Play, then good times ahead!

Surprised there hasn't been more activity in here what with the embargo lifting yesterday and hoards of screens, videos, interviews and opinions flying around the web.

The cross format functionality looks like its going to be quite popular with the ability to play wipeout 2048 with people on the PS3 in HD or in 3D. So one game might have 2 in 3D, 2 in HD and then 4 on the NGP.
