What film did you watch last night?

True Grit

Not a fan of Westerns at all but this wasn't bad and probably worth watching just for the performance of that young lassy. Not to say that others underperformed either, solid acting all round. While not my genre it still probably deserves 8/10.

Interesting film although the twist is quite predictable. January Jones was pretty poor in this though, they might as well have used a wax figure of her and you wouldn't not notice a difference. I do think that this kind of film could've done with a bit more action as well as it dragged on at times. 6/10

Too Big To Fail - Story about Henry Paulsons handling of the collapse of Lehman Brothers and financial crisis of 2008. A very good account of what happened.

And then Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel, simple movie, daft storyline but a good easy to watch film.

American History X 9/10 - Just saw this film again on tv, and still as powerfull as ever, its a shame films like these are few and far between.

Last night.
True Grit - Well dissapointed, I was expecting a no holds bar uber violent western & got a Disney does Dallas type crapfest. - Don't waste no money on this film & wait for a TV showing.

Night before
Brighton Rock - Superb British movie that needs watching, The ending is Awesome. - A must see.

Well its not exactly last night but tonight its a classic for me - The BMX Bandits

Wife is out, kids will be in bed so time for me to reflect on the old days.......tomorrow i will sit at a bus stop and talk about the war.

I'm still working through my Daily Star top ten to being a movie critic list - cheers for the tipoff ~>DG<~ - so I've just watched Seven Samurai. I split it over two nights as it's 3 hours long so a bit of a slog. It's good, but it's heavy going... picture quality isn't great, and the subtitles are a bit sporadic, so from time to time there's things being said without any indication of what it all means.

I'm sure there's a lot of value to be found in there, but it's hard work looking for it.

Still, entertaining enough.
