******Download Festival 2011******

Slight delay, however all bands announced so far are in the first post.

I will separate these into days and stages shortly :)

This Download freight train shows no sign of slowing up, with seven more bands just added to the bill, following last week’s latest additions.

This announcement is a juicy one, and includes new kids on the clock VersaEmerge (tipped to be the next Paramore), actress Taylor Momsen’s rock outfit The Pretty Reckless and mighty US rockers Puddle of Mudd, who are returning to the UK for the first time since 2002.

Roadrunner signings Times Of Grace, featuring Killswitch Engage’s Adam Dutkiewicz and former Killswitch vocalist Jesse Leach will perform, along with West Yorkshire heavy metal outfit Evile.

Completing this new lot of bands,

Times of Grace I really want to see. I hope they do some other shows in the UK whilst they're here.

+1 for Times of Grace.

I'm actually listenning to Linkin Parks Hybrid Theory recently, which is something I honestly thought I would never ever do, hated them back in the day for being too pop. Agree rest of it looks a bit 'meh' and 2001. Skindred seem interesting. Avenged sevenfold and Disturbed are the only others I would *remotely* be inclined to lift an eyebrow for.

At least Sonisphere has the big four, Opeth and recently reformed OMS. No Alice In Chains this time though :(

So, it's 13 days away.

Who's excited? Who's ready? (I am not ready! Got a few things to buy still :( )

Skindred are also doing an Acoustic set, but it's not on the website at the moment, but was confirmed by Andy Copping (Download band booker) on his Twitter :)

I had an awesome time! got a brilliant spot in blue camp!

highlights : Twisted sister, Korn, Mosh pitting pendulum, System and Alice cooper!

lowlights : the weather and the fact i could find 0001 :< got 0003 though!

Yup, Korn were fudging awesome, as were Bob Zombie. Wasn't too happy at the hike in beer prices this year, but hey-oh :p

The video backdrop for Pendulum was insanely good!

Yea £4 a pint is a bit crazy, but they know we'll pay it anyway! Luckily the security was not that good so you could easily sneak your own in :p

I didnt think £4 a pint was to bad for a festival personally, around here you can be paying £3.20.

£4 Hobgoblin > £4 Tuborg (someone should be arrested for charging any more than 50p for that stuff), but it's a shame the former is a bit too heavy to drink and mosh on. Oh well, I think I bought all of 10 pints in the arena the whole weekend, but I must have managed close to 50 cans in the meantime (and some rum and coke for good measure) \o/.

Anyone watch Gwar? That was quite the... erm, experience. Trash Talk are rapidly becoming another of my favourite live bands, and System were pretty awesome. Also loved the small crowds for Modestep and Frank Turner, both of whom were very strange to see on a Download bill, but well appreciated. Bit disappointed in myself for not bothering with Pendulum, as I know they'd have been ace up at the front, but I've seen them so many times now.

Oh, and I broke my friends ear :(.

Me and a mate stayed in white camp, was fairly tame compared to the others.

Wicked time though, Avenged Sevenfold are my new favs.

lol @ the bullying of the steward was it #836?
