jimlad i notice you have frozen things like "Mail", surely this stops you from being able to use email? :S

Also, Allshare is the DLNA app, so with this frozen you can't stream DLNA content to a TV?

And is maps google maps?
 
I would think like me he has another email app, I use K-9 so I have no need of the email or gmail apps on there.

He can always unfreeze the Allshare app if he wishes to use DLNA, maybe he has no DLNA enabled gadgets?

Not sure on the maps one so have left that, but I have co-pilot so I could disable it.

Yes not sure why Maps is frozen there too!
 
gah, PPTP VPNs are broken on the SGS2 over mobile data, they work fine over wifi, but as soon as you're trying to use the carrier it just says cannot connect. XDA forums have a thread too and it seems all people with all carriers are having the same problem, how annoying!

Still looking. Looks like bug fix release, the display colour has been tweaked as in the BETA KF1 I had. I notice now in the recovery after using a JIG to reset the count it says that the download details have been wiped. Feels snappier so looks like they have kept the tweaks in the ZSKE7 kernel.

Does XT9 work on the phone dialler keypad? It didn't in KF1.

not using DLNA, and maps was only frozen because 5.5 was on there as well, and being samsung it would not let me uninstall. i don't use any mail clients as i use gmail
 
do you want to be stuck for 2 years with this phone? it's a good phone so will perform well in 2 years. i personally like to have the latest mobile so went with 18 and paid for the phone, but sold my hero and that paid mostly for it

£26 here, 24 months, 500 mins, 5000 texts and 1gb internet. Depends if you like Three or not!

I've just got my new one on TalkMobile (CPW network, runs on Vodafone network) for £150 upfront and £30 a month, but its only a 12 month contract.
 
anyone know why the default calendar app wont load of my calendars? it's the most important one i need and the phone doesn't even know it exists. all other calendars load fine no problem. i'm having to go to the mobile version of google calendar to get those event details
 
Has anyone been able to make video calls? Every time I try it either says "call has been lost" before connecting.. or rings then disconnects with a similar message :/

I accidentally video called my other half once but the moment I saw her and realised I'd done it, I cancelled the call. She seemed quite upset about it, but at least video calling works :D
