The new Orange Android phone (San Francisco) £99...but a Question??

Mine just went for £106. Not bad considering the paint in the corners was wearing away and there was a scratch on the home button!

Thanks RaV, i'll check it out :)

The only thing you have to do after installing V5 is remove Regpon. I think u can do that with titanium backup. Cause it drains a lot of battery. Will be taken out again in the next version

Think i'll be grabbing one of these. Obviously they've gone up a tenner since i noticed them last week (minimum £20 topup instead of £10)

Do they provide it as a topup card that i could sell on or is it "preloaded" on the sim account?

Result! Got one from Argos, had to get a compulsory £10 top up too. The topup came as a card i can sell on and they've got a deal that gives me a free £10 credit anyway.

Works out to the standard £99 once i've sold the topup card and i get a tenner of credit to play with too :)

Already rooted and 2.2ed, now to find fiddly bits like the %age battery meter and the like :)

What size do I need to make a picture so it just fits on the single screen.

The phone has a resolution of 800x480, if you wanted to go that extra bit you could take a screenshot on your phone then use the image to make your new one from. That would allow you to factor in your dock bar and status and not lose any of the image when you apply it.

Is that including the extra 'pages' though?

Quite impressed with Cyanogen Mod 7.03 stable on the SF. Running it with Go Launcher EX and a stack of the excellent Go widgets / apps and it's a decent experience.

It's never butter smooth (like it is on my HTC Desire) but once the initial caching happens it's smooth enough.

I followed the "All in one TPT CM7 which includes Gen2 conversion" and it worked flawlessly. Came from FLB r10b

Follow that thread but download 7.03 stable for the blade instead of 7.02

What keyboard are people using? Loaded the 2.2 and the buttons on the keyboard are tiny compared to the buttons on the stock orange firmware.

OK what the **** is this about here

The phone has been asleep and charging from the mains all day. After just over an hour of use after being unplugged, the battery is now almost completely dead (it had just got the 'less than 10% battery remaining' popup when I took the screenshot). Nothing is turned on apart from wifi, the display is set to the lowest possible brightness, and I wasn't doing anything other than browsing the internet - no watching videos or playing games.

I understand that a San Francisco isn't that great in general in this regard but being unable to use it for even light web browsing for anything more than an hour is ridiculous. I appreciate battery performance degrades over time but the phone is barely even three months old.

The battery life wasn't this bad in the past, have I done something stupid or overlooked some setting that is causing this?
