surely a 6950 2GB is a much better and cheaper alternative already

not if using 6 screens. The extra VRAM will help

But under "normal" circumstances, 6950 is easily better for the money

If i's under 90 days, you can use EVGA step up. Actually, you can't unless you're upgrading to a different GPU.

You can sell it. You're 60 posts away from MM access and Stulid really wants a 570. I suggest you try and reach 250 posts ASAP


If the card's $400 dollars in the US, it should work out at around £240 here, then VAT, so around £7,000?

Bear in mind that the 6950 is a fair bit slower than the GTX570, and ones that are listed as flashable up-to 6970/GTX570 performance are £250 not £200.

OcUK have put them up in price recently from around £200 to £225 and now £250

Why would you bother buying one to unlock?

You can buy a proper 6970 for not much more than £250.

It depends really. I've ran 3600x1920 from a single card and it's fine for a lot of games. That said, I personally don't mind not using AA...

yeah, I slap most effects on still. Its really not a problem on a 6970. Clearly not metro or crysis maxed but everything else runs fine really.

To be quite honest im disappointed that im having to even think about getting rid of it. I got the card thinking its not the best but it will do an outstanding job for the next 3 years or so. Then games come out needing over 1280MB.
Don’t get me wrong the 570 is a solid outstanding card but having a bit more MB’s, will make it a perfect card for my needs
