What winds you up most when you're driving?

Buses. Then when I'm on the motorway, coaches, sitting in the middle lane.

And huge lorries in town centres. Rage.

Oh, and tractors. At rush hour. Go away.

The people on the m'way like the OP, but who also seem to think that by getting as far right as possible i will then see them in my wing mirror, as i must obviously not have seen them in the rear view as i havent moved over to let them pass despite the fact there is nowhere for them to go in rush hour traffic!

nothing really. i find it relaxing. :)

i might be one of those ones which will never touch the brakes for 10 miles if i can help it... manage to make it through an entire industrial estate consisting of 30 mph limit and about 5 roundabouts without ever changing out of 5th and never braking until i get to the end. ;) all in a safe manner though - never speeding/never changing lanes - just the racing line. :)

If anybody travels on the a406, in one section of road works near New Southgate.

They have introduced new lane markings, 2 lanes to go right, 1 to go straight and 1 to go left.

People now are going on the lane that goes straight and cutting in at the end causing even more congestion. This REALLY annoys me, so much that I wont give them way and if they force their way in and scratch my car then so be it!

It is extremely effective in my car. Everyone swoops to the right if there is enough space for their car. Having my HIDs on helps even more.

People who stop at roundabouts when there is nothing to the right!

I have been noticing this more recently. I'm in the left lane and the car to my right has come to a stop, I copy as I am unable to see above the car. I get to the give way line and can finally see there is enough time for a couple of cars to pull out but they stay still waiting for them to go.

Very related, people who pull out in front of you on a roundabout. If they accelerated at a progressive pace than fair enough, but they barely move, causing you to need to slow down for them.

Undertaking really gets my goat tbh. That and lorries trying to overtake each other only to find they are limited with speed and just merrily go along side by side for a few miles, causing a rolling blockade

The Parkway roundabout, Hayes. Every bloody morning.

People who use the left hand lane (marked clearly as left turn only) with the intention of going straight over the roundabout , so muggins here gets squeezed between the moron in the left lane attempting the short-cut and the traffic in the right lane.

Tailgating
Under-taking
Over taking when you're doing the speed-limit
Cyclists who lean on your car (no offence to any cyclists out there, just a pet peev of mine lol)

I'm in the US, so my answer has to be.....4-way stops! Great idea - first person to arrive goes first. And if 3-4 cars arrive at the same time then.....errrrm.....inch forward, think the other people are going and stop......realize they're not.....accelerate.....oh, they were also thinking the same thing.....stop again....look confused.....wave the other driver through as they're waving you as well.....a pedestrian arrives to cross and confuses matters even more........FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUU

There's a 3-way stop (at a crossroads) close to me too and that's even worse - the person who isn't supposed to stop always does because they assume it's a 4-way. Funnily enough, it's right at the entrance to a graveyard - I think most of the residents were victims of road rage caused by that intersection :)

Bikers after the weekend.
Aggressive driving and overtaking/undertaking anywhere!

No wonder why so many end up dead.

Just this minute got in after hitting a biker on a roundabout.
Luckily it wasn't at speed.
I was just pulling out from the junction when a biker came down between me and the other car and moved in front of me.
How I didn't hurt the passenger was beyond me.
They both have a go at me and I just asked the owner if he wanted to take it further because there was at least 30 other vehicles that had just seen his move.
He got back on, told me to FO and drove off at 5mph all around the roundabout and for about 200 yards until I turned off.

the 8 mile stretch of the a34 between stone and stoke and the arses that sit in the outside lane the whole time doing 5 miles an hour under the speed limit
no problem at half 5 on the way to work but on the way home GGrrr

the a520 is just as bad 40 mph on a nsl really boil's my blood

Vespa-riders who filter through traffic and stop in front of me when I'm first at the lights.
I've worked my way to the front because I want to get away quickly, I don't need you faffing around at 20mph in front
If you're going to park on my bonnet, at least stay to the side or get a proper bike.

It's called riding in the Primary position so unobservant ***** in cars don't side swipe them off the road having pulled up along side them.
Also lessons the chance of being turned left into at said junction/lights.

People who turn left at a roundabout but don't indicate, so you're not sure if they're going straight on until they do, forcing you to wait.

This is very similar to a place near me here in Manchester, as you come off Kingsway. The left lane is for LEFT TURNS ONLY, the middle lane allows you to also turn left or go straight on, and the far right lane is straight onto the roundabout. I have lost count of the number of times I have been in the middle lane and turning left, and someone to the left of me cuts across to go right, but I am so use to it now that I am always cautious when on there but it baffles me how many times it has happened. The roads are all clearly marked yet people totally ignore it.:mad:

In the absence of any markings using the left lane to go straight on is not infringing any rules. That junction needs some arrows. Email the highway authority and point it out. The people who do job specs for the line markers are only human and things do get forgetten or missed from time to time.

Not driving but still; Visiting my mate for two hours, parking opposite their house, returning to find a note under my windscreen wiper asking me not to park there again. I'm sorry, I pay enough for a tax disc, insurance, (and pay these twice due to owning a bike as well) and various other taxes used to maintain the roads, so I'm entitled to park there just as much as anyone else.

Its a joke isnt it, its a public road anyone has the right to park there. I often see now that people put traffic cones out in a parking space like the road outside there house is their own personal driveway. :(
