I might have been tempted by Homefront, but the demo runs at 16 FPS no matter what settings I choose so KAOS and THQ can go whistle.

Doom 3 actually worth playing now adays? Considering how dated it is.

And does it not actually run on W7 like the store page says? Or is that just BS?

I bought the ID pack i think it was that had doom + some others in. Doom runs fine on Windows 7. With graphics set to max ( 1920 x 1200, Ultra High, 8x AA (16 is bugged i think :S)) it still looks decent. Fun game too.

I've played it before, had a copy free with a 6800GT! and its still fun. Still makes me jump a fair bit too.

I think Steam games are pre-patched for W7, Quake 1, Hexen, Commander Keen, GTA 1 and 2 etc

all working under Windows 7

pretty sure steam dont do that, its GOG who do all the windows 7 fixes built in

All of those games run through DOSBox on Steam as well. Same with the Broken Sword games using ScummVM.

I've been quite lucky so far in that not many games have appeared that I want or don't already have. The Force Unleashed II is the only game I've bought, as well as the FO:NV DLC Honest Hearts, which I figured should be worth at least £2.24. There are few games I'd pick up in a heartbeat if cheap enough, though (DiRT 3, Shift 2 [and Shift 1 if <=£5], Alice, and the first two STALKER games).

Grrr, finally got an enemy to jump in to some water on Serious Sam. After 30 seconds it dawns on me the enemy is a Kleer SKELETON and as such, cannot drown ><
