Don't forget to add on the cost of a replacement car while yours is getting the work done.
Have you been injured in an accident that wasn't your fault?
Why not go through insurance? Just hope that the repair just is flawless.
It's not a claim on your insurance though, is it?Well its a good question - the main reason is that I trust the bodyshop to do a good job, and even though its not my fault, its still nevertheless a claim, and I don't want to give any insurer the opportunity to increase my premium next time around.
I really should, but the bodyshop is local and the job shouldn't take longer than a day.

You shouldn't even notify your insurer.

Doesnt matter. Someone hit me last year when I wasnt even in the car. My premium went up, when I asked why they said it was the "Risk factor" A-holes

This happened to my mate. He was in bed asleep which makes him a risky driver becasue a drunken kid on a joyride carved a path of destruction down his road.
Very unfair IMO
2 teenage daughters
It's likely because a lot of non fault accidents could've been avoided by the party not at fault being a more proficient driver.
