What month do the manufacturers release their new stuff? and when do the sales for last years generally hit?

New stuff is usually launched at the various bike shows around the beginning of September, then hit the shops over the next few months. Sales will be around the same time, I bought my Giant in September 09 hugely reduced.

I paid 2k for it second hand last year. Its not a factory build it was a custom by the guy before me. I think I will break it and sell it for parts, the frame must be worth almost 1k alone and the forks I could get a reasonable amount for.
Also, running XO shifters with an XT front mech, it works fine.

The Nomad lives again, hanger and mech fitted, not a fan of the new sram cable routing prefer it on the front rather than the back.
X9 feels exactly the same as X0 although a bit heavier.

And finally some pics.

500 is more likely

I had a bit of an off today due to brake failure :o

Anyone know about the Formula Oro K18's? Was looking at Juicy 3's but these are not much more on offer and i suspect much better???

The K18's are superior to the Juicy 3's. Even the Juicy 5's. But I've never had much luck with Avid's. Won't go back to them.

Cheers, will give them a go then! I hear they use the same bleed kit as Avids??

I got both of my track pumps for £4.99 from Aldi, one for the car and one for home. Had them for over a year and they work flawlessly. No point in spending loads on a pump

Asda also do a Bell branded one for a little more

I had an Aldi one like that, it never gave an accurate reading on gauge and failed after just over a year - needless to say it went in the bin and i paid up for a decent one!

Can people tell me about taking bikes on planes and importing bikes from the US?

Looking at getting a full sus frame and I'll be in the US so im playing with the idea of possibly bringing one back with me.

Not once have I ever looked at the gauge, for all I know it doesn't work! But for a pump that does the job quickly £4.99 is a bargain.
