What film did you watch last night?

I like to think I understand films and whats going on most of the time but this film had me confused from the start and the only film in recent times I have turned off before the end.

Garbage!

It wasn't particularly confusing; it was just utter nonsense.

Calling it garbage actually does garbage a disservice.

a house of a thousand corpses and the devils rejects, both pretty crap but extremely weird and entertaining so was worth a watch i guess.

Bruno - Sacha Baron Cohen doing his gay Austrian fashion journalist thing in America. Very funny, some scenes you wonder if he was going to get hurt or killed but as usual (like the TV series and Borat) it is the people he speaks to that make you jaw hit the floor. There were some truely stand out scenes, for example asking parents of 'model' babies if they could get the children to loose weight for the photoshoot or mind their kids being put in danger and the parents just agreed to anything to get cash and fame - that scared me. Anyway I think I preferred Borat overall but still entertaining. 4/5

Watched Good Will Hunting yesterday.

Brilliant film. 8/10. Would've been 9 if it wasn't for Ben Affleck.

Such a good film - up there with Shawshank for me, some really good moments. Think you're a little bit harsh on Affleck though - he wasn't too bad in that role :)

Momento. I've been meaning to watch this since it came out at the cinema but never got around to it until last night. I've even had the DVD for at least 2 years. Really good film but no one to watch if you're not in the mood to concentrate. Quite gripping and well acted.

10 things I hate about you.

7.5/10 for a fairly obvious american teen rom com it's actually pretty good.

I did feel bad as soon as I said that. He was good for the most part. And he co-wrote it so if it wasn't for him, who knows?

Basic Instinct

I first saw it when I was about 12, last night was my first re-watch of it (at 27 :p)

Great 90's film, a film that really captures the definition of a 'thriller'. Sexy & tense film with great characters throughout. The gf really liked it too having not seen it before.

7/10

Sucker Punch- Utter tripe 2.5/10

Rape fantasies are not for me. Bad CGI, dull action and poor plot. Total f*ckup of a movie in my books.
After I'd watched it my conclusion was:

Sucker Punch is perfectly watchable providing you're dosed up on recreational and pharmaceutical drugs beforehand...

The Dark Knight, lost count at how many times I've watched this film now. Still as brilliant as it was the first time I saw it though

10/10

It's such an amazing film. My favourite watching of it was when I was in Ivory Coast and a civil war was starting - somehow managed to find this on Nigerian Movies and watched it curled up in my hotel room eating biscuits.

You didnt like it? It was no masterpiece, but I thought it was a fairly good "popcorn" movie. Plenty of humour and action :)

I physically cringed at times. I went with two mates; one who wanted to see the film and subsequently enjoyed it, and the other chap who was just tagging along. He fell asleep.

I'd give it 4/10. It would've been 5/10, but they had that clichéd *woman gets out of car to look at the thing in the sky* shot, and her looking into the distance biting her lip as he flies off into the sky.

Transformers 3,

Theres literally so much action, i couldn't take another explosion. All that in 3d is mind hurting.

Limitless 7.5/10 - Gripping from the start and an overall good film. Its a perfect example on how a bad trailer and marketing can sink a film at the box office.
