Note that nzogbia got 9 goals and 7 assists for an awful wugan team. Not bad. He also got 33 fantasy bonus points for good performances. How many do you think that carrick got?

Only 2 players.in fantasy epl got more bonus points than nzogbia. It isnt proof of anything but does show that hep stood out regularly as one of the best players.on the pitch when he played.

Dont know whether to  or to :o or to simply LOLZ at that

Okay a question of these seemingly foolproof bonus points that apparently prove his quality what games did they come in? Any when Wigan played United, Chelsea, Arsenal, City, Liverpool, Spurs? Or were they when Wigan were playing West Ham, Blackpool, Birmingham, Stoke, Wolves and the likes?

N'Zogbia was the stand out player for a relegation threatened side, the same way Vaughan was Blackpools player of the year and the same way Parker was West Ham stand out player are all these good enough to play for United as well? Being the stand out player at a club that is battling relegation is by no means a hallmark of a top class player in fact the last time United signed the stand out player from a team that had just been relegated was Alan Smith and despite being brilliant for Leeds he was painfully average at United. N'Zogbia would be no different hence the reason why the clubs interested in him aren't in the top 6 or 7 but the mid table sides.

N'zogbia is a good player.
He is one of those good players that is never going to find a big club though.
If United or Chelsea had picked him up when he was a kid we would all be raving about him.

Does not compute, if he's good enough then someone would buy him. They aren't so he isn't simple

N'Zogbia destroyed Arsenal didn't he??

Smith was up front for Leeds too :p When he played up front for Man U I recall him scoring a few?

To be fair to Smith he wasn't at United at a great time, he had the likes of Bellion, the Djemba twins, Kleberson and Liam Miller trying to provide assists for him but he was still well above his limit at United as a striker. Probably why we did what Leeds did and ended up sticking him in midfield.

That and he was severely out classed stood next to RVN and an 18 year old Wayne Rooney

Tom84 that attitude does not compute. where did i say the bonus points were a foolproof indication, in the very next sentence i qualify the value of them - you have even quoted this bit just not emboldened it. so how do you conclude that i believe them to be infallible?

How many utd players would you give bonus points to in the barca game? Exactly none. thats the situation nzog is in when they play the big 4.

We didn't!

Yeah ya did, I'm sure you did, wide right, didn't ya?

Why mention them at all then if you agree they're meaningless? The fact you even brought them up must mean you think they have some significance to your argument?

As for N'Zogbia I didn't just ask when he'd excelled against United & Chelsea did I? The defence at Arsenal is easily got at, Liverpool weren't great last season either so I ask did N'Zogbia excel in these games to back up your claim he's better than Wigan (his current side) or Aston Villa (probably his next team)? You seem to advocate his signing more than anyone else so surely you know whether or not he's had blinders against this quality of teams?

I think if I were your opinions might be appear to be a hell of a lot more reasonable, alas I'm as sober as a nun hence why you're making my head hurt with all this N'Zogbia rubbish

Nope, I nearly said he may have played behind the two strikers occasionally but in truth he didn't do that, he was up front and to be honest he wasn't really a good striker. There was maybe a chance he could have played there when he made his debut. Effort was second to none but didn't score enough, Bridges, Viduka, Keane and Fowler all easily outscored him.

EDIT: I'm not reading Wiki saying he did play RM, I can't recall this whatsoever.
