Unless anything's changed since I worked there, there was f-all in the way of commission or bonuses. The ignorance is likely due to pay and training - when management are focused on selling rather than knowledge, and people aren't paid enough to retain those with some moderate amount of knowledge what are you left with?

Pay peanuts, get monkeys as they say.

That said, to assume everyone working there is ignorant is fallacy; there are some surprisingly savvy people working in some of the shops (needed a quick job, do it because they find it easy etc), and it's pretty easy to develop a chip in the shoulder when you're treated like an idiot by every other person who walks through the door.

That said I'll admit myself some of the stuff I heard whilst working there was mildly amusing

Has anyone noticed that a second camera firmware update was released? Only noticed it after running samsung apps for the first time in a while and reported an update was available for that application. I'm not sure if the app itself was updated or the firmware as well.

Cheers for this, just noticed this app from your post as I only just got the phone - didn't realise small firmware updates would be delivered like this.

Additionally - does anyone know how to get the default weather bar back? I was organising my screen layouts and wanted to add this back, however selecting the weather widget gives me the same format but only a smaller version - and not the version that fills the screen width wise

Thank you. I also downloaded Samsung Kies and got a firmware update for my phone, didn't even realise I needed to update, I've only had it a week or so.

I can upgrade from 21st July so want a bit of an idea of what to ask when i try and haggle a deal

they did not offer me much at the time, is you contract expiring on 21st july or just eligible for the upgrade 3 months before the end of the deal?

the early upgrade they hold all the cards, expired contracts are where you get the good deal.

im hoping for the TV out bit, as i purchased one of those cables and it does not work at present

battery life has improved since build 2, as with build 1 and the alpha i was getting around 18 hours

Dunno, just didn't feel like it was worth the £400 I could sell it for and my Desire had dropped to like £100 on the phone recycling sites.

Now they'll be a little cheaper and my Desire resale value has gone back up a little, so I'm thinking why not.

Thats kind of simialr to what I got.

I got 24 months: 900mins, unlimited txt's, 500gbm data, free phone. £31/month
I saw a similar deal in Tesco, expet was 600 mins, so told them about that and would move if they couldnt match it, so they did (and some with extra 300 mins). They told me phone would cost £35 on that price plan, so said I would still cancel so got phone free.
