Well without ever hearing of this myth I've noticed my cat sometimes suddenly take interest in "nothing" and it appears to follow this "nothingness" around as it would a fly or spider etc. So I definitely think they can see something we cannot.

My cat always knows when a thunderstorm is on its way... she hides under my bed a good 5-10 minutes before they start.

Yes, they can. They can also see into your mind and make you write things on a forum that you normally wouldn't.

I'm a cat (who can't spell) and I find this offensive. Our ability to see ghosts is on a need to know basis. I suspect the OP's feline was simply trolling him for ****s and giggles. We do that. A lot...

It would be better if your Cat had a PhD in the Behaviour of Ethereal Non-corporeal Entities, then your Cat could be considered an expert in a relevant field of study.

Just because you cannot see something doesn't mean it isn't there......hence my post about the implication of the question.
