Battlefield 3 thread - Server details in opening post -

In battlefield 2 you could still spot people.... press q and click spotted, or something like that. Then the person/vehicle gets flashing symbol on them.
 
I think the problem is a lot of people would like to see bf2 with updated graphics and slightly tweaked, me included, but times have moved on in the bf series.

It doesn't feel like bf3 to me atm, more a cross between bc2 and a lot of moh, as in alpha there are no tanks, jets or choppers,large maps which make bf what it is.

Looking forward to full release.
 
Looks like the type of game I'd buy some time after release, good for killing time more then a must have

Possibly a bit of hollywood licensing, but with uav's and modern satellites, surely the ability to track troop movements is there now. And can be translated to a game.

Land warrior, they used overlay information universal soldier style :D It was cancelled

Below is BF2, imagine it with 3D spotting, would you not prefer a game with immersion where you actually have to look and find the enemy with no silly markers that pinpoint the enemy on screen.

Im hoping they can mod Arma 2 engine into the next battlefield type game. Still waiting for the PR mod to be released but I think the idea is out of EA's understanding now

lol so that make it right does it, you can see the enemy through the tree and predict his movements, can't believe this can be defended. Anyway that's my last on the matter, point made, enjoy your triangle shooting servers, hopefully it can be disabled and they are the servers I will be hitting.

Funny thing is you've made no point, all you've done is act like an ignorant child dismissing information posted here because you apparently know best.

I think theres more pressing issues to hand, one being the health regen speed is too high and imo makes the medic packs almsot pointless. Its already been said that the spotting system is still being worked on, the beta should give a far better indication of how it will be in the final game.
