anyone else having problems with GPS? until yesterday, i thought the program i was using was faulty (swing by swing).

this was working when i first got the phone then i updated the program and doesnt work at all now (you can see why i thought it was thr program).

Downloaded some gps checkers from the market and most of the time they dont find satellites, nevermind fix to them.

do ou think rooting the phone and flashing would help or do you htink the phone is faluty?

i have had a look on the forum and did a quick search on the thread but could not find anything.

I had issues until I used an App off the market called FasterFix.

Basically, Samsung are slightly retarded and have set the A-GPS server to one in America, the above app will allow you to set it to a UK server.

I do believe you need root though :)

thanks very much, never done anything like this before so folowed a good guide on you tube and its rooted. I do seem to be getting a fix to gps and hopefully will work tomorrow,

when i rebooted phone, it was still showing the yellow triangle, is this ok?

Yeah that's perfectly normal, it's just the phone shouting that it's running custom firmware/kernel.
 
Dropped my about 4 times quite badly on a rather bad night out, including one time where i tried to catch it and smashed it faster away xD

Its coping with my abuse well!

Official mesh case has only popped off once on a drop so far!
 
OK, why does my Primary calender keep disappearing and all my calendar colours keep changing? Everything is till there when I check on my PC

I have to clear Calendar storage in settings to get it back then it'll randomly disappear again......

I wouldn't mind but I NEED my calendar to be synced in the cloud so my office can update stuff on there.
 
Got the 'muffled' SGS2 replaced today, new one is much much better - like night and day. In fact it's better than our other SGS2 which I did think was also a bit muffled so it seems mic quality is very hit and miss. The other one isn't bad enough to warrant replacing though (its a work one so not that bothered), whereas the really bad one was unusable.
