This is an invite only MP Alpha playtest. There will then be a closed MP beta test, then an open to everyone MP beta test.

Bit of random news regarding pre-orders, EA claims BF3 pre-orders are at more then 10x higher then Bad Company 2's were, BC2 has also sold over 9 million copies now too.

BF3 is going to make EA a hell of a lot of money.

On another note, why does the M16 have full auto in this game? Kinda defeats the purpose of the M4.

even if you buy a retail copy you still need origin installed as the game launches from the battle log website not from the disk afaik

no its not confirmed but do you really think EA spent all that time and money launching battle log and origin for them not to use it for this?

That's what the Alpha is, but not everyone can play it.

I'd rather digitally have it, but i'd also rather buy it from OcUK considering it's the cheapest i've found it when it's on the weekly offer.

Personally I'd rather pay £1 extra and order elsewhere from a large game retailer in order to guarantee I get it on release day (or as normally happens, a day before).

I'm actually getting it for about £20 as I had reward points to spend

Beeeeeeeeeep M16A1 and A3 are full auto, A2 and A4 are 3 rnd burst.

Yes but game features the M16A4 doesn't it? The rails and what not sure make it look like the modernized M16A4, which doesn't feature full auto.
