Same. I have the DVD box set and I just can't understand why Fox dropped it. It is one of the most excellent TV series I've ever seen. Perhaps Fox didn't want it and so broadcast the episodes in the wrong order to make sure the viewing figures were rubbish and give Fox an excellent excuse to drop it.

I would have thought a lot of people who have the DVD box set will be 'upgrading' to Blu-ray. :cool:
 
Do love the dialog in this show. Plus Jayne has some of the best one liners in TV.

Anyone have an theorys on who Book was? I reckon he's Mal's opposite in almost every respect. I think we was the Alliance commander at the battle of serenity and to come to terms with what happened he turned to god. Mal did the opposite (you see him kiss a cross in the first episode during it) and turned away from God.

Would explain why the alliance chappy was so eager to help him when he saw his ID.
 
It's completely awesome in every way.

Some people I've attempted to lend the DVD series to couldn't seem to get past the fact that it's like a western in space at times - no chance of changing their minds either, they just won't have it. Their loss I suppose!
 
I've just started watching the boxset again, i keep going through a six month cycle of watching it.

And now there's a blu-ray version coming out??? :cool::D:cool:

The imported version has been out for ages, this is finally the UK release. Was always tempted to get the import but then just watched the DVD over and over. So this has been ordered and can't wait until it's released as was planning another watch through it :D
