SanDisk use fake CE marking?

I think that China Export thing is a crock of **** that some dodgy firms use to make it appear there product is CE marked when in reality it is just knock off goods.

A lot of completely legitimate companies' products use the narrow CE mark, like Microsoft and SanDisk. So it does not mean it's fake or anything.

My 3G iPhone has the proper CE mark, your one is/was fake!
Why the hell would that be? Unless it was a different batch of IPhones.
Anyway, check the advertisement next time, if it says 'conforms to CE standards', and it's the incorrect CE logo, moan at them. Otherwise you're all moaning about nothing

It doesnt mean its neccessarily fake, just that the guy who designed the packaging didn't know there was a difference, and just went with the one that took up less space.

I've just purchased this M2 memory card from ebay however I'm aware that a large number of cards sold on ebay are fake.
Anyways, the CE mark seems too close together a factor that is largely related to fake products.
I haven't opened it, reckon it's fake?
the CE mark cannot be used to determine whether a product is fake or not. if a manufacturer is going to fake a Sony product do you really think they wouldn't go to the effort of faking the CE mark?
it's much more likely that the symbol used by the packaging designers was modified to "look" better.

Im with you on this one. My 2 sony cameras have the correct looking one, my casio calculators have the correct looking one. My logtech G5 and Saitek Eclipse keyboard have the squashed looking ones. As does my generic (made in taiwan) bar code scanner. Acer keyboard, fine, Camera lights, not.

May be the test is where a single manufacturer can be consistent with their labelling?
, I must have been under the influence lol No its not a crock (check the bottom of your barclays PINsentry if you have one) theres a bit more to* it but essentially the CE lacking in space and straight edges just before the tips instead of smooth half circle is a completely legit manufacturing mark but not the CE mark.
* IIRC that CE actually stands for Consumer Electronics and is usually used by Chinese manufacturing lines.

So why don't we see both marks on some goods then? As I said, by using identical lettering to the CE mark it is a deliberate ploy to trade on the back of the recognisation that it is compliant with EU regultions, when in reality it's not.
